How to Apply ►​ Application Period: September 29 (Fri) ~ October 13 (Fri); 4:00 PM  (1) Application Submission (submit hard copies to the KUBS International Office after online application) Two copies of Global Internship application forms with a photo (3x4 size) – complete and print out your online application forms Two copies of Korean and English/Chinese resumes (online upload as well)​ Two copies of Korean resumes Prepare two copies of English and/or Chinese resumes depending on the country you are applying for Write down your overall GPA and English Proficiency Test Score Refer to the Portal Community “2017 경영대 국제인턴십” > “양식자료실” > “이력서참고양식”  Two copies of personal statements in Korean (online upload as well)​ Your personal statement should include a brief description of yourself, reasons for applying for the corresponding internship program, your plans and ambitions as an intern, etc. You should not put your personal information, such as family and school. Write the reasons why you are interested in the company as well as your goal. Connect your values and visions to your future plan (please do not go over one page). One copy of official transcript in Korean (upload a scanned file online), one duplicate copy of transcript. One copy of official language test score (TOEFL, TOEIC, TEPS, HSK) (upload a scanned file online), one duplicate copy of language test score Your English proficiency will be recognized by your official TOEFL, TOEIC or TEPS scores only. A duplicate copy of other language test scores except English and China will be accepted.​ Expired test scores will not be accepted based on the application deadline. ​​ You may apply for the global internship without official language test score; however, there may be a disadvantage. One duplicate copy of your passport ​Your passport must have at least 6 months left until the expiration date (upload a scanned file online) Two duplicate copies of each certificate mentioned in your resume (activities and previous work experience) ​(2) Save all file name as “Name_Student Number_Document Title (Example: John Smith_2013120326_영문이력서) (3) All documents above must be submitted in hard copies to the KUBS International Officer after completing online application. (Two sets of hardcopies must be submitted.)  (4) Deadline for Online Application and Hard Copy Submission: by October 13 (Fri); 4:00 PM (5) If you are applying for an internship at a foreign company, they may request for additional documents. When notified by the international office, please send your soft copies, such as English cover letter and English transcript, via e-mail at kubs_intern@hotmail.com. (6) Companies may request for additional documents to students who are applying for an internship program on their own or after completion of the school’s selection process. ►​ Must submit additional documents according to the format required by the company (Example: reasons for applying, personal statement, etc.) 5. Notes If you are applying at a company in China, English Proficiency Test Score is not required (If you intend to apply for non-Chinese region as well, you must submit your English Proficiency Test Score and do an English interview on top of Chinese Interview). Chinese interview will be exempted for students with Level 5 or higher in New HSK, Level 7 or higher in Old HSK, or double majoring in Chinese Language and Literature. Students (those who will be graduating in Fall 2017 or Winter 2017) who only has a semester left until their graduation cannot apply. Applying for 3 or 6 credits of “International Internship Practice” - Your credits will be determined based on your internship period (this cannot be changed after your internship is confirmed) Students who have canceled the internship program after the company assignment can reapply; however, they may be place in the second priority list for internship or not be able to get an internship opportunity at all. Students who fail to submit their assignments after completing internship will receive an F grade in “International Internship Practice”. Students who damage the reputation of the company, alumni association, and school with unauthorized behavior may receive an F. Reapplying students will come as a second priority. After the selection process, successful applicants must attend an orientation, KUBS Contemporary Business Etiquette, and a pre-departure ceremony before they leave for internship.  [Possible Number of Host Company Request] ► There is no limit in the number of companies you can sign up for. Fall 2017 Credit Withdrawal Request   1. Eligibility a. KU student who has earned 102(106) or more credits and registered 7 or more regular semesters. b. Transfer student with a BA degree, should be classified as 4th year student. c. student in senior year pursuing dual degree is not eligible.    2. Key Points a. Maximum 6 credits can be applied. b. Credit withdrawal is allowed only once during the entire school years. c. Courses have not yet evaluated should be counted out of bound. d. Any requisite courses (general education core courses, major core courses, college of education courses, etc) can not apply for credit withdrawal. e. On the academic tran, “W” will be typed on the courses withdrawn instead of the original grades. f. Students can not apply for credit withdrawal for repeated courses. Upon withdrawal completed, the course cannot be repeated. g. Once course withdrawal is submitted it cannot be retracted.   3. Course range a. Courses taken before spring semester, 2014 b. Guidelines on Applying for Student-Designed Major in the 2018 Spring Semester   ※ School Regulations: Constitution of Korea University, Chapter 4, Article 35(Classification of Majors) & Academic Operations Regulations Chapter 3 (Student-Designed Major) & Guideline for Student-Designed Major   The ‘Student-Designed Major’ is designed to accommodate the interests and career goals of students with broad interdisciplinary interests that cannot be satisfied within one of the traditional Korea University majors. Upon satisfying the graduation requirements of both first and Student-Designed Major, students with Student-Designed Major shall be conferred with the bachelor’s degree of each major. Curriculum of Student- Designed Major should be created by combining a minimum of three Korea University majors’ and must contain 36 major credits or more in total under the guidance of academic advisor of Student-Designed Major.   1. Application Dates Applicant shall submit the application to the department office of applicant’s first major via the application procedures indicated above in ① and ② by October 31(Tue), 2017, 17:00. ① Applicant designs curriculum under the guidance of Academic advisor of Student- Designed Major and fills in the applications. ② Each council for Student-Designed Major reviews the application and submit the result to the department office of applicant’s first major. ※ Academic advisor for Student-Designed Major will be assigned after a consultation with a student’s 1st major’s head of department.   2. Fall 2017 Dual Degree Application ※ Chapter 4, Section 3, Article 36 of the “School Regulation”; Chapter 3, Section 1, Article 37, Article 37, Chapter 7, Section 2 of the “Academic Operations Regulations”​   1. Eligibility 1) Students who have earned a total of at least 102 credit hours (at least 34 credit hours for transfer students)  2) Students who has a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or above including “F” grades 3) Students currently enrolling in Fall 2017 (those who have already been approved to pursue a dual degree cannot re-apply) However, expected officers of ROTC are not eligible to apply based on Article 8 of the “Military Personnel Management Act” 2. Applicable Departments 1) Students may apply for a dual degree program regardless of their first major. However, the program is not applicable for identical or similar departments (divisions). 2) Excluded Departments (Divisions): College of Law, College of Medicine, College of Nursing, Department of Cyber Defense, and College of Pharmacy 3) Restricted Departments (Divisions): College of Education—those who earned credit hours in the College of Education only 4) Other: Only 4 departments, which are Biomedical Engineering, Biosystem and Biomedical science, Health and Environmental Science, and Health and Policy Management, in College of Health Science are eligible for the dual degree program (cannot apply for other existing majors) - For students in the College of Health Science, the entering classes of 2006 to 2013 are ineligible to apply for different majors and new majors within the College of Health Science. 3. Maximum Period of Enrollment 1) Students in the dual degree program will have a two-year extension beyond the maximum period of enrollment (the Department of Architecture have a six-year extension). 2) Leave of absence and dismissed periods are not included in the maximum period of enrollment.  3) Students exceeding the maximum period of enrollment shall be expelled and will be ineligible for re-admission. 4) For those who exceeded the maximum period of enrollment and earned required credit hours, but did not fulfill other graduation requirements indicated in Article 57, such as graduation examination, graduation paper, English test score, Chinese test score, those periods of staying at school will be included in the maximum period of enrollment. 4. On behalf of the CFA Institute, CFA Society Korea now accepts applications for the Access Scholarship. 1. Eligibility KUBS students who plan to take the CFA exam in June or December 2018 and have not yet registered for the exam. (1) June exam: Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 (2) December exam: Level 1 only   2. Number of Scholarship Recipients: 10   3. Award: The scholarship covers the one-time CFA Program enrollment fee (if applicable) and reduces the exam registration fee (includes access to the curriculum eBook) to US$250.*   4.
