Credit Approval of Global Internship Program during Summer/Winter

The Global Internship Program administered by KUBS is run during the summer and winter vacation.
Students participating in the program can acquire three or six credits from the International Internship Practice course (BUSS 470,471,493,494 – 3 credits for each courses) during the summer/winter session.

Tuition payment for the summer/winter session

Participating students must pay the tuition by the given due date.

Course registration

On be half of the participating students, International Office registers the International Internship Practice course(s). Thus, students must check whether the course(s) is(are) registered right.

Submission of post-internship assignments after completion

The following documents should be submitted for credit approval for the Summer/Winter Global Internship Program administered by KUBS, as well as any other internships that students organized themselves.

Required assignments (hard copies)
  • Internship report – two copies
  • Internship schedule – one copy (downloadable from the community)
  • A “Thank you” letter – one copy
    • * Write the letter by hand and in a formal style.
    • * Submit the letter in an envelope addressed to the recipient
Required assignments (electronic copies on a USB)
  • Daily work journal
  • Internship report
  • Writing about the internship experience (online through website)
  • At least 10 photos related to the internship (upload together with the internship experience)
  • Internship schedule (overall and weekly schedules)

Grade reflection

Submitted internship report is evaluated by the professor, which the grade will be combined with the daily work journal and the post-evaluation from the company. The final grades are shown as Pass or Fail basis.

Credit Approval for Individual Internships (during Spring/Fall or Summer/Winter)

  • Effective as of Fall 2019, previous BUSS472 International Internship Practice III(6credits) course curriculum has been revised to BUSS493 and 494 International Internship Practice IV and V (3 credits each)
  • The maximum of 12 credits or 6 credits can be registered for Spring/Fall semester or Summer/Winter session, respectively, according to the length of the internship
  • You can find the each Academic Year’s internship information on “201X 경영대 국제인턴십” on KU Portal Community
  • For students who intend to participate in overseas internship program and receive credits for the International Internship Practice course(s) should apply in advance to course registration period in order to receive the approval of the International Office. For the application screening, submission of the listed documents are required
    • - Individual Global Internship Application form (downloadable from the community)
    • - Original copy of the English transcript
    • - Confirmation of internship admission by the host company
    • - Introductory material about the host company
    • - Copy of the business certificate of the host company
  • Students will also have to submit the post-assignments for the credits. Assignments documents are the same as regular Global Internship post-assignments

  • Post-credit recognition for unauthorized individual overseas internship is not possible
  • Please refer to the application notification for individual internship credit approval uploaded at/before the beginning of each semester

  • Application period for Summer/Winter session : [Summer] early May / [Winter] early November

  • For Summer/Winter course(s), after the approval of credit recognition, the follow-up process is the same as the one for the Global Internship Program administered by KUBS
