Period of Degree Completion A. To complete dual degrees, students must enroll in 2 additional years to the period of study of their first major. (Note: 6 years for the Department of Architecture) B. Students who have not completed their degree within their prescribed period of study will be expelled from the University, and re-admission is not permitted. D. Please note that periods of preparing for specific graduation requirements from the department (e.g., a graduation examination, a graduation thesis, an English ability examination, or Certificate for the comprehension of Chinese characters) will be added to the period of study, even if a student has met all the course requirements on Article 57 of Academic Operations Regulations.   6. 2020-2 CREDIT WITHDRAWAL REQUEST       1. Eligibility a. KU student who has earned 102(106) or more credits and registered 7 or more regular semesters. b. Transfer student with a Bachelor’s degree, should be classified as 4th year student. c. student in senior year pursuing dual degree is not eligible.   2. Key Points a. Maximum 6 credits can be applied. b. Credit withdrawal is allowed only once during the entire school years. c. Courses have not yet evaluated should be counted out of bound. d. Any requisite courses (general education core courses, major core courses, college of education courses, etc) can not apply for credit withdrawal. e. On the academic transcript, “W” will be typed on the courses withdrawn instead of the original grades. f. Students can not apply for credit withdrawal for repeated courses. Dear Students,   Unfortunately, the situation of COVID-19 has worsened recently while the fall semester is approaching very soon. Although the stage of social distancing set by the government is still the second stage, all lectures of the courses offered by KUBS and courses assigned to KUBS buildings will be conducted online only from September 1 (Tue) to 11 (Fri) in order to ensure the safety of all members and minimize confusion at the beginning of the semester under the current COVID-19 situation. Please refer to the below notice for further details.   - Period of Conducting ‘Online Lecture Only’ : September 1 (Tue) ~ 11 (Fri) - Target Courses : all courses offered by KUBS and courses assigned to KUBS buildings - From Sep 14 (Mon), if the social distancing stage announced by the government remains in first and second stages, it is possible to conduct the online and offline parallel lectures in accordance with the KU Academic Plan for fall 2020 (--> refer to the notice posted on portal bulletin board on July 27).  For ‘online and offline parallel lecture’, the number of attended students can not exceed 30% of the classroom capacity to ensure the physical distance between students. NEW[General][General][Announcement] Aug 18th (Tue) Shutdown of KUBS Main Building & Key Precautions

Please be informed with the below information regarding to the shutdown of KUBS Main Building due to the spread of COVID-19.     - On August 18th (Tue), one KUBS officer has conducted COVID-19 test as their family member came up with the final positive result after testing. - On the same day, KUBS has proceeded shutdown of the KUBS Main Building, considering the incubation period of virus. - At 2pm on Tuesday, the officer received final negative result after testing, and they were instructed to self-quarantine for 2-weeks. - People who contacted the officer were instructed to work at home until August 21st. - KUBS Main Building will reopen from August 19th.     - By August 28th, all KUBS personnel is required to minimize the moving distance inside the building. Contacts during lunch time should be limited within the office units and distancing between individual is a must. - For the next 2 weeks, having meals by groups are not allowed. All meetings should be conducted online through Zoom conferencing. - Every entrant is required to wear mask properly (covering nose and mouth) in all office area. - Members - regardless of students or faculty - who are not wearing mask will be guided to move out from the building. - As the number of confirmed people in cafeteria is in an increasing trend, please be careful not to drink together with two or more people without wearing masks. - Please manage personal hygiene, including the use of hand sanitizer.   Please consider that the semester is just beginning and the situation regarding COVD-19 in the Seoul metropolitan area is unusual.   KUBS Administration Office (Inquiries 02-3290-1385)

Guidelines for Minor Application, Fall 2020   ※「Korea University Constitution」Article 36,「Administration of Academic Affairs」 the first clause of Article 7 - A minor requires 21 credit hours apart from your first major - A second major does not count towards a minor, and a minor is not indicated on graduation certificate. - An incomplete minor cannot be the ground for deferring graduation.   1. Eligibility: Students who (1) have specified their first major, and (2) have completed more than three semesters, and (3) are enrolled in Fall 2020 ※ Applications by students who are on leave of absence on the corresponding semester will be ceased.   2. Applicable Areas of Study: 1) Students may not apply for a minor from the department of their first major or relevant (cross-listed) course. 2) Students may apply for courses from Anam Campus that are not open at Sejong Campus as a minor. 3) However, if the relevant course is opened both at Anam and Sejong Campus, students must register for a minor from their designated campus. 4) A minor from the College of Education can only be granted to students whose first major is from the College of Education. ※ Note: A ratio of the number of students taking minor courses at the College of Education is 10%, applicable to entering class of 2006 and 2007. Payment A single payment (lump-sum) of TOTAL tuition fee through the KEB Hana Bank individual virtual account number, given on your confirmation sheet   7. Notifications A. Registration type and the number of credits enrolled should be matched. B. Certification of Credit Enrollment will be provided after the confirmation from Administration Department. C. If the number of credits is changed after the enrollment, your tuition will be refunded no later than mid-October. (※ Log-in to KUPID → Registration/Graduation → University Registration → Confirm My Account Number) D. If you miss the application deadline to get a refund, please contact Administration Department E. Students expected to take a gap year are not subjected to the application. They should apply at the returning semester. F. If you applied a student loan from 한국장학재단 (Korea Student Aid Foundation), an error might occur during the application process. Any inquiries regarding those errors should be asked to the KU Student Loan Department. (Undergraduate: Student Support Center, Graduate: Administration Department, MBA programs: Corresponding Administration Department) ※ Error might occur when the amount of student loan and tuition fee are different. G. Exchange Students: Contact Administration Department H. Students involved in prior deductible scholarships are not able to get confirmation from the Administration Department.
