In order to provide internationally competitive educational administrative services, KUBS is the first college to establish the International Office, Public Relations Center and Career Development Center (CDC) in addition to the existing undergraduate/graduate educational support services.

KUBS, keeping in line with the globalization demand of the faculty and students, created the new system to provide systematic support for the global program and to effectively promote the excellence of KUBS at home and abroad. The five employees in charge of international affairs at the International Office are all fluent in English. Their duties cover exchange students, exchange agreements, internships, foreign faculty and international accreditation etc. KUBS plans to further expand its exchange student program so that all students from KUBS can study abroad. Under this plan, KUBS is actively exchanging with prestigious foreign universities and expanding overseas internships at world renowned financial institutions and manufactures so that students can get hands-on experiences in global business. Each semester international exchange students can promote their own schools at the Exchange Fair. Also information regarding life in Korea is provided, such as Korean cultural events, to help international exchange students adjust to Korea. More support will be provided to the international faculty. With the largest number of international professors in Korea, KUBS plans to increase the number of international professors to around 30 by 2010. Also with the increase in the number of international visiting professors, the International Office will provide systematic services relating to the tenure, schedule and office arrangement of international professors.

The PR Center which relocated to the 2nd floor of the main building on April 6th will be managing the KUBS newspaper, website and media PR etc. KUBS newspaper, Korea’s first and best paper specializing in business administration, together with the KUBS website (http://biz.korea.ac.kr) will be organically linked with other department to provide fast and accurate information on the development of KUBS to students, alumni and parents. The Associate Director of KUBS PR Center Ms. Hi Yeon Kim says “The opening of the PR Center will enable us to pursue efficient PR management which includes integrating our internal and external PR activities. We will be able to systematically provide campus news to students and effectively promote the excellence of KUBS to external stakeholders.

CDC which recently upgraded its services launched a website to provide students with timely employment information and to enhance their competitiveness. Employment support will be extended beyond the existing MBA students to include undergraduates as well. CDC, established last year to provide employment support to MBA students, has been holding classes on resume writing as well as employment fairs with invited HR personnel. This year they opened these classes to undergraduates. The center also offers various employment related news online. In the future after registering their resumes, students will be able to discuss employment strategies with the relevant personnel. Director of CDC/MBA Ms. Hyun-joo Sun says “Through the CDC we will effectively support the employment of KUBS students. For the MBA graduates, we plan to execute the programs needed for experienced hire job market and to cooperate with companies and institutions to become their communication window for finding talent.
