CEMS MIM Ranks 10th Globally in 2025 QS Master in Management Rankings … Korea University Business School Demonstrates Prestige as the Only CEMS Member in Korea      The CEMS Master in International Management (MIM) program, in which Korea University Business School (KUBS) participates as a full academic member, has once again proven its global excellence by ranking 10th out of 206 programs worldwide in the 2025 QS Master in Management Rankings.    The ranking was released by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), a leading global higher education evaluator. CEMS MIM rose one spot from last year’s 11th place to rank 10th, placing it within the top 4.8% worldwide. The program received an impressive overall score of 90.5 out of 100.    CEMS significantly outperformed the global average across all evaluation categories, particularly in ‘Value for Money’, where it scored an outstanding 97.3 points—far exceeding the global average of 61.3. It also received high marks in several other key areas: Thought Leadership – 86.5 (global average: 50.6), Employability – 86.4 (global average: 50.1), Alumni Outcomes – 83.7 (global average: 49.9), and Diversity (class and faculty) – 84.6 (global average: 64.8). Moving forward, Korea University Business School plans to continue taking the lead in cultivating the next generation of global business leaders through close collaboration with its international partners.     Korea University Business School (KUBS) became a full academic member of CEMS in 2015 and remains the only member institution in Korea. CEMS, the global alliance of prestigious business schools, allows only one business school from each country to be a member, and Korea University’s Graduate School of Business Administration has been the sole CEMS partner in South Korea since 2015.  G-MIM offers a unique curriculum where students study for one semester at Korea University and one semester at an overseas partner school. This program allows students to study in various countries and cultures, building a global network and enhancing their understanding of global business. By experiencing different management environments, students will further develop practical skills and a deeper understanding of global business.  The entire program is conducted in English. It is targeted at undergraduate graduates with majors in business administration or economics, and those with less than two years of work experience, aspiring to become future leaders. 2025 CEMS Global MIM Incoming Student Orientation Successfully Concluded 

2025 CEMS Global MIM Incoming Student Orientation Successfully Concluded      On February 28, the CEMS Global MIM (Master in Management) Incoming Student Orientation of Korea University MBA (Dean: Eonsoo Kim) was held at Cuckoo Seminar Room in the LG-POSCO Hall and Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang. This orientation was designed to provide students with various information for a smooth transition into academic and daily life in Korea while enhancing their understanding of the university and local community. The morning session, held at Cuckoo Seminar Room, included △a program introduction, △a welcome speech by the Academic Director and Dean, and △a commemorative photo session. In his speech, Dean Eonsoo Kim stated, "The MIM program was introduced to provide courses tailored to global economic trends. KUBS will spare no effort in providing valuable experiences in Korea."      Following this, an introduction to the Global MIM program was provided, along with guidance on using the Korea University Portal to Information Depository and obtaining a Residence Card, ensuring that students were well-prepared for their academic life. Regular students were also invited to share their experiences regarding campus life and Korean culture, offering first-hand insights. Through this, incoming students were able to hear first-hand experiences from seniors currently studying in Korea and gain various tips and advice on campus life. This session provided them with an opportunity to adapt more easily to their new academic environment.      During the campus tour, led by KUBS student ambassadors, participants explored various campus facilities, including lecture halls, cafés, the Central Plaza, convenience stores, and cafeteria, gaining a deeper understanding of campus life. Additionally, students signed an Honor Code Pledge, reinforcing their commitment to academic integrity and responsibility.      After the orientation, a studio tour and experiential program took place at Hyundai Motor Studio Goyang, a corporate partner (CP) of KUBS CEMS Global MIM Program. Students had the opportunity to broaden their understanding of Hyundai Motor’s innovative technologies and global business operations. Additionally, an information session was held on Hyundai Motor’s upcoming global recruitment plans for the first and second half of the year. This further heightened students’ interest in career preparation and helped inspire their aspirations and motivation for their future careers.      Meanwhile, Global MIM is a master's program jointly operated by KUBS and CEMS (CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education, hereinafter CEMS) since KUBS became a full member of CEMS in 2015, joining the world’s leading business school alliance. This one-year, full-time Master in Management program allows students to earn a Master’s degree from Korea University MBA and a CEMS MIM (MIM, Master in International Management) certificate upon completion.   Additionally, through the outbound student exchange program, Global MIM students have the opportunity to study for one semester at a CEMS partner school. Furthermore, the Global MIM program at Korea University MBA recently ranked first in the 23/24 T1 Skill Seminar evaluation.

"A Five-Day Journey" … ESADE International Study Tour in KUBS Successfully Concluded    The Executive Education Center (Director: Seokkyun Kim) of the Graduate School of Business Administration at Korea University Business School (KUBS) (Dean: Eonsoo Kim) hosted the 2025 ESADE International Study Tour: Digital Transformation & Business Analytics in Asia (hereafter "the program") in collaboration with ESADE Business School (hereafter "ESADE") from January 6 to 10.      ESADE, affiliated with Ramon Llull University in Barcelona, Spain, is one of the country’s top business schools alongside IESE and IE. As a member of the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education, ESADE actively collaborates with over 100 academic institutions worldwide. CEMS membership is limited to the most prestigious business schools in each country, including KUBS, Cornell SC Johnson College of Business (USA), The London School of Economics and Political Science (UK), and HEC Paris (France), among a total of 33 institutions.       A total of 52 participants visited the Graduate School of Business, including 50 Master of Science students from ESADE, along with two faculty and staff members.      Throughout their stay, ESADE students attended six Digital Transformation lectures held in Room 303 of the Hyundai Motor Hall. Beyond academics, the students also explored Korean businesses and culture. They visited two leading domestic companies, Hyundai Motorstudio Goyang and Amorepacific, and toured the National Museum of Korea, where they enjoyed a docent-guided exhibition of cultural artifacts. Reflecting on the visit, one student remarked, "The scale of Korea’s national museum was impressive, and the advanced development of Korean companies left a lasting impression."     On the final day, a farewell dinner was held at a traditional Korean restaurant in Anam-dong to mark the conclusion of the program. The dinner was attended by Associate Dean Byung Cho Kim, Professor Kyuhong Han, and Professor Jeunghyun Kim. Associate Dean Byung Cho Kim shared farewell remarks, stating, "I hope this program has been a meaningful experience for all students."

The Global MIM Program at the Graduate School of Business offers a Skill Seminar recognized as one of the best worldwide      Korea University Business School (Dean: Kim Eonsoo) has been operating the Global MIM (Master in Management) program in collaboration with the CEMS Global Alliance in Management Education (hereafter CEMS) since becoming a full member of this prestigious network of leading business schools in 2015.    The CEMS MIM program, also known as the Global MIM, is a one-year full-time master's program in management. Students can earn a Master’s degree from Korea University Business School and a CEMS MIM (Master in International Management) certificate upon completion. Additionally, through the exchange program curriculum, Global MIM students have the opportunity to take courses for one semester at a CEMS partner school.    CEMS also offers a global internship program in collaboration with its corporate partners, requiring Global MIM students to complete a mandatory 8-week overseas internship. [Executive MBA International Residency Program in Spain and the USA] – Learning Business and Finance

[Executive MBA International Residency Program in Spain and the USA] – Learning Business and Finance at Top-Tier Institutions   The KUBS Graduate School Executive MBA (E-MBA) program (Dean=Sang Yong Kim) conducted its International Residency Program (IRP) for the first semester of the 2024 academic year. The IRP is a core course in the E-MBA curriculum, where esteemed faculty from renowned international universities teach regular classes, and students study at prestigious universities in the United States and Europe while visiting local businesses.      First, the IPR, which took place from June 22 to June 30, was held at ESADE, a business school affiliated with Ramon Llull University in Barecelona, Spain. Professor Daeki Kim and the class of 21 participated in the program. ESADE is the first business school in Spain to receive the “triple crown” accreditation, which includes AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business), EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System), and AMBA (Association of MBAs). It is also a member of CEMS (Global Alliance in Management Education), along with the business school.     During their time at ESADE, the students attended lectures on various topics, including: ▶Introduction to doing business in Spain & the EU ▶Market & Non-Market Environment & the EU ▶Disruptive technologies & new business models / AI for Business ▶Creating growth Ventures ▶Social innovation, Social Issues ▶Leadership and Social Responsability / Sustainable business models ▶Simulation: Managing successful collaboration ▶Closing & certificates.     Additionally, they participated in a winery tour at Torres, one of the largest wineries in Spain, which has been family-run for five generations since the 1870s. The students also had the opportunity to experience Spanish culture by visiting landmarks such as Park Güell and the Sagrada Família.     Following this, from June 29 to July 7, the IRP continued with a visit to Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. Professor Shijin Yoo and the class of 22 participated in this program. Yale University, an Ivy League school, is one of the most prestigious universities in the United States, with a history dating back to its founding before the American Revolution. As of 2020, Yale has produced 60 Nobel laureates, five Fields Medalists, three Turing Award winners, and five U.S. presidents.      At Yale, the students attended lectures on topics such as: ▶Behavioral Economics: Beliefs, Goals, and Choices / Two System Theory of Choice ▶Systematic Approaches to Creativity / Technology and Human Experience  ▶Thinking 101 ▶Finance and the Global Economy ▶Managing the Customer Decision Journey in the Digital Era / Economics of AI and Business Strategy ▶World Economic Outlook ▶Social Network Interventions ▶Foundations of Corporate Governance ▶Influence & Persuasion.  The students were also divided into two groups to explore American culture, visiting locations such as New York City and Niagara Falls.
