Credit Approval for Spring 2021 Global Internship Program
I. Eligibility
i) ) Student majoring in Business Administration who has completed more than four semesters by the 2021 spring semester (including students double majoring in Business Administration, or students from the School of Interdisciplinary Studies who are majoring in Business Administration)
ii) Students who will participate in an internship for a minimum of 20 days during Spring 2021
- Students may not apply for part-time internship. It must be a full-time internship. 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, and 40 hours per week.
- This internship must not be an Permanent employment or internship which will turn into permanent employment.
iii) Students from other departments are not allowed to apply for the credit approval.
iv) In case of a fall/spring regular semester, prospective graduates CAN apply.
v) Exceptions may be allowed upon the approval of the department in charge.
II. Course Title and Criteria for Credit Approval
i) Course Title (Up to 12 credit hours of below courses can be approved depending on the duration of internship)
BUSS470 International Internship Practice I (3 Credits)
BUSS471 International Internship Practice II (3 Credits)
BUSS493 International Internship Practice IV (3 Credits)
BUSS494 International Internship Practice V (3 Credits)
ii) Credit approval according to the duration of work period (Approval among the four above courses)

· You can take any Internship Practice courses (including both major elective course and general elective course) offered by KU and the maximum credits you can get is 12 including International Internship Practice course(s).
· A student who has studied an intensive major in Business Administration: A maximum of 12 credits in Business Administration (major elective course) can be attained through the internship program.
· A student who has studied other than an intensive major in Business Administration (including double major, interdisciplinary major, transferred, multiple major): A maximum of 6 credits in Business Administration(major elective course) can be attained through the internship program.
· A transferred student, who has the first major in Business Administration and studied an intensive major in Business Administration: If the internship program of the previous university has been recognized as a major elective course, the credits will be calculated together. Please refer to the table below.

iii) Work period only between 2021 March 1 (Mon) ~ 2021 June 21 (Mon) is approved (All documents must be based on this period)
[Regulations on the Internship Practice of University Students] (Notice No. 2017-115 by the Ministry of Education, Revised in 2017.03.01]
Subject to Chapter 3 (Operation of Internship Semester), the four consecutive weeks of practical semesters (more than six hours a day) are subject to public disclosure.
- The results subject to public disclosure are counted based on the actual attendance date of the student, and the number of days of legal holidays and election days for which on-site practice has not been conducted is excluded from the field practice performance (accredited days).
v) Tuition payment and submission of assignment is required for credit approval
vi) Students must receive permission from the International Office before starting their internship and must submit the assignment (Daily business log and Result report) after Internship.
vii) Students will receive a grade of either Pass or Fail (P/F).
viii) If assignments are not submitted after the internship, the result will be an “F”.
ix) Grade Criteria: Report (around 10 pages) 60%, Evaluation from employer 20%, Business log 20%

※ If the confirmation is not written in Korean/English, you must submit additionally the translated version either in Korean or English.

※ Required to include company size (number of employees, asset size, sales, etc.)
6) Work introduction material (Weekly work schedule must be included) (Free-Form) - 1
7) Links and screenshots of the company's official website
8) Evidence of how you found out and applied for the internship
※ e.g.) screenshot of recruitment announcement site
9) Transcript (English) - 1
10) Calendar with legal holidays in the country you will work- 1
B. (If approved), Required Documents for Submission (Before Internship): By 2021.02.22.(Mon) 15:00
1) KUBS Internship MOU (CEO and Student signature required) - 3
2) Copy of flight ticket - 1
3) Copy of certificate of insurance for travelers - 1
C. Assignments Submission (After Internship): By 2021.06.24.(Thu) 15:00
1) 1) Internship Result Report (around 10 pages)
※ Refer to the “Guidelines on writing report” in “Daily Work Journal” (attached)
2) Daily Business Log (attached) - 1
※ Minimum of 20 days (excluding weekends) for 3 credits needed
※ After the first month(20 days), a weekly report may be attached instead of a daily report
3) Internship personal reflection / experience (Please email and upload it in KUBS website)
4) 10 photos taken during internship (Attach to Internship personal reflection / experience)
5) Scanned version of handwritten thank-you letter to your corporate representative/manager - 1
6) Application Form for Academic Credit Approval (after internship) (attached) - 1
