The 1st Investment Club Research Competition

KUVIC, Korea University’s Value Investment Club, held the 1st University Investment Club Research Competition at the SUPEX Hall of LG POSCO Building at 6 pm on December 12.

The competition was organized to give university investment clubs a chance to get together, had discussions, and enhanced their investment knowledge. The competition was attended by KUVIC KU investment club, SMIC the value investment study group from Seoul National University, and YIG the value investment group from Yonsei University.

The three attending schools presented corporate analysis report that they had wrote last semester and hold discussions. After judging, the winning team received 500,000 won in prize money and a trophy. Alumni from the investment club working as analyst and fund managers and 42 investment clubs from around Korea were also invited.

Jae-hyun Joo, President of KUVIC said “The competition was put together to give each of the clubs an opportunity to present their stock analysis for the past semester and create a sound investment culture.”
