Operating “Career Up” program designated to help students develop their career plans through the customized career development services
Career Development Center (“CDC” henceforth) operates one-on-one career coaching program called “Career Up” during this Winter Break. The program is customized career development services offering a one-on-one consultation for three times a week. Through Career Up, students can experience three stages of preparation for recruitment process and also map out a personalized career strategy by one-on-one in-depth counselling services. In order to run the program, CDC managers conducted eight rounds of professional coaching education with Hyun-joo Sun, the head of Research and Business Team.
Hwajeong Seok, CDC Manager, said “First- and second-year students can develop their long-term career plans while third- and fourth-year students obtain practical information related to career preparation.” She added, “We will continue to operate customized programs, such as Career Up, to closely communicate with students while enhancing customer service satisfaction.”
Career Up consists of three stages: △Stage 1: Finding my strengths, △Stage 2: Writing a résumé and cover letter △Stage 3: Mock interview. Participated students can figure out their strengths using psychological tests, practice how to write an effective résumé and cover letter, and prepare for practical interview speech as well.
“The ones participating in the new program are mostly students in the fourth year of study,” said Manager Hwajeong Seok. “With the graduation just a year away, students expressed their keen interest in Career Up in order to acquire a sense of how to write a cover letter and conduct an interview."
