'Mentoring Program with Professors' held successfully for 2015 Spring semester

'Mentoring Program with Professors' for 2015 Spring semester was held for 3 days, on April 6th, 9th and 10th at Ahn Young Il Hall and KooKoo Seminar Room of LG-POSCO Hall. In total, 63 professors and 626 students participated in this event.

'Mentoring Program with Professors', a part of KUBS Mentoring System, was designed to close the distance between professors and students and to help students get advice on their studies and future careers. KUBS first introduced the Mentoring System in 2007 and started the Mentorship program with professors since 2011.

Professor Weon Sang Yoo, one of the mentors at this event said, “Thanks to this mentoring program like the homeroom teacher system of the university, I could offer a career guidance to students. I often ask them what they want to be and why they chose business administration as their major, and also encourage them to apply for the student exchange program.” Lee Hyun Jung (Business Administration '13) said, “Students usually feel distance from professors, so it is difficult for us to meet them outside of class. This mentoring program which acts as a bridge between professors and students was very helpful and relieving as I could get more intimate advice from professors.”

Professors of KUBS also added that students are always welcome to their offices. Professor Kwan Hee Yoo mentioned, “After this event, I could notice that students have a lot of things they want to ask us. I would love to meet them more often to share thoughts and concerns with them whenever they are in need of me." In addition, Professor Kim, Joonghyuk mentioned that "I could meet many students and deeply interact with them through this event. If students want to ask for advice, they are always welcome."
