‘The 34th KUBS companion night’ festival ends in great success

Sponsored by KUBS Alumni Association, ‘The 34th KUBS companion night’ took place in the Grand Intercontinental Hotel on Thursday, December 4th. In this event total of 700 Alumni attended, including KUBS professors, and senior professors.
Chairman Wonbae Na said “All the thanks goes out to our alumni, who work in critical positions, and provide endless support to our school. This companion night has now become a chapter of friendship. I am really proud to see the number of our alumni increasing, and working in critical positions of our society.”
This year, ‘alumni of the year’ awards went to Deok-kyu Moon, CEO of SK Networks(Business 70), Gyungho Choo, Head of Office for Government Policy Coordination (Business 73). Awards were also handed out to 24 alumni who have shown constant effort and support to Alumni Association. Chaeyoung Lee(Business 61) received the Achievement Award, and Choongjin Lee(Business 81) received Special Acheivement Award. Class of 88 who organized the previous year’s events received a plaque.
After the Award Ceremony, Class of 89 donated 150 million won to their alma mater.
They also had time to talk about academic year report and the vision and objectives of the Business School, explained by Dean Dong-One Kim. He also mentioned that “KUBS will keep on developing and reaching the goal of being Global top 30, and Asia number 1. We would like to ask our Alumni Association to show constant support and interest.”
Once the whole ceremony was over, the alumni had a relaxing time to talk with each other, whil e having snacks and beverage. Meanwhile, there were lots of musical events, starting with the Brother and Sister chorus, Samkyung Kim(Business 60), Hyeja Kim(Business 63), who sang ‘Nella Fantasia’, ‘La Traviata’. There was also a special performance from the KUBS dance club ‘Broaden’.
