Korea University Business School Produces the Largest Number of "2019 CEOs of Korea."
 

KUBS (Dean=Kim Jae Wook) has been selected as the single largest university and department with the highest number of CEOs in Korea. In the "2019 CEO of Korea's 100 largest companies," released by Hankyung Business Review, KUBS produced the largest number of CEOs in Korea based on the criterion of a single university and department.

Of the top 100 CEOs, a total of 34 majored in business administration, with 11 from Korea University's business school. The ranking was followed by six business administration majors from Yonsei University and five from Seoul National University. The top 100 CEOs in Korea who graduated from Korea University include GS Chairman Huh Chang-soo (Admitted in ‘67), Hyundai Marine Vice Chairman Lee Chul-young (Admitted in ‘71), LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-yeol (Admitted in ‘72), S&I Corporation President Lee Dong-yeol (Admitted in ‘76), Samsung C&T Corporation President Lee Young-ho (Admitted in ‘78), CJ Industrial CEO Kang Shin-ho (Admitted in ‘81), Doosan Group CEO Park Jungwon (Admitted in ‘81), SK Telecom CEO Park Jungho (Admitted in ‘82), Korea Investment Holdings Inc. Vice President Kim Namgu (Admitted in ‘83), and SK Chemicals CEO Na Kyungsu (Admitted in ‘84).


The majors with the most top 100 CEOs after business administration were as follows: economics (9), chemical engineering (6), law (5), and electronics (5).
