’State -of –the- art’ Business School building to be newly built
Expected to be finished by September 2011
Korea University Business School (KUBS) is newly constructing a world-class state-of-the-art building. KUBS has announced plans to build a new building (tentatively named ‘Global 50’). Construction will start May 2009 and will be completed in September 2011.
The building totaling 9256.2㎡(2800 pyung) in size, will have three stories below and six above ground level. The new building will house state-of-the-art lecture and research rooms as well as various amenities for students,
The classrooms will be equipped with video conference systems and interactive systems that will allow professors and students to communicate with each other via electronic screens, maximizing learning efficiency.
The LG-POSCO building of KUBS is recognized as one of the world’s top ten state-of-the-art education facilities. With the new building, KUBS hopes to take the level of Korean universities one notch higher by building the world’s greatest building in terms of both function and design. KUBS is actively seeking donations for the new building.
