KU Graduate Programs Reformed
Korea University Business School is set to reformulate its new graduate programs, starting next
semester (Fall 2006), expanding the yearly intake from the current 290 to 412.
Of the reformed graduate programs, a new full-time MBA program is going to be introduced, with
its admission slots of 120. Also, the adjusted admission slots for other graduate programs are as follows: 155 for Korea MBA, 40 for EMBA and 97 for MS.
All together, the new admission number will run at 412 for the whole graduate programs. Under the
old format of the graduate programs, the admissions were limited to 290. In Korea, increase in the
number of student intake for any university degree program is under the government supervision and permission.
Required in-residence study period and credits are all reformulated to maximum two years and
45 credit hours.
The new admission slots for the school account for the largest among the business schools in
Korea, indicating that KUBS meets all the government requirements, including the faculty size,
to expand the size of the intake.
