『Korea University MBA 30-30 Alma School Development Committee』 Appreciation Dinner Successfully Held

『Korea University MBA 30-30 Alma School Development Committee』 appreciation dinner was held at the Ahn Young Il Hall of LG-POSCO Building on the 15th evening.

『Korea University MBA 30-30 Alma School Development Committee』 was established on May 5th to achieve the goal of Asia’s No. 1 and Global No.30 Business School by 2030. The committee raised donations of about 320 million won in a short time for the KU MBA promotion.

The ceremony was moderated by KUBS Associate Dean Yongkeun Yoo and started with an introduction of attendees and guests, followed by applause with welcome and appreciation. 

To begin the ceremony, KUBS Dean Johngseok Bae had a welcoming speech. The welcoming speech began with a brief mention of the significance of 『Korea University MBA 30-30 Alma School Development Committee』. The speech ended after expressing appreciation for the activities and help from the Committee. 

Next, the ceremony was followed by a congratulatory speech by committee Chairman Hyunsik Chung with applause. Chairman Chung, who had attended despite his poor health, thanked the committee members saying that there would be no doubt of achieving the goal of 30-30. 
After that, a letter of appreciation and appreciation plaque were presented to the committee. They were presented by Dean Bae himself, showing appreciation for the unsparing support from the committee. The committee members, started with Chairman Chung, were presented letters of appreciation with appreciation plaques and took photos respectively.

Furthermore, there had been a progress report on the committee’s activities. Associate Dean Yoo
began the presentation by introducing the status of the committee goal and KU MBA. He emphasized that we are not far from achieving the goal, considering the achievement that KUBS made in 2021. He briefly proposed four 30-30 project key tasks: inviting scholars from oversea, education innovation, several measures to activate MBA and development in historical & artistic nature. Also, he described the status of specific plans on setting up MBA Lounge, introducing MBA Friday Happy Hour, and setting up the artwork. The report ended after mentioning privileges from Korea University for donators. After the progress report, group photos and performance of Seungsu Kim and Pyunggang Ahn from the marimba play group ‘Pulse Percussion’ had taken place.
 

After the short performance had lightened the mood, the dinner started with a toast from Chairman Chung. Chairman Chung told how proud he feels about this committee meeting that connects seniors-juniors, and started the dinner with a toast saying, “For KU MBA”.

The dinner ended in a pleasant mood after talking freely and asking after each other between continuous toasts.
