Professor Sang Yong Kim Received Academic Contribution Award in 2017 Consumer Loving Brand Awards
 
Sang Yong Kim, a professor at Korea University Business School (KUBS), received Academic Contribution Award in the 2017 Consumer Loving Brand Awards, hosted by JoongAng Ilbo Economist and sponsored by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs. Beginning in 2011 and marking the seventh anniversary, the award ceremony has been held annually to select companies and individuals who have significantly contributed to distribute healthy brands to the Korean markets.
 
 
Currently serving as president of the Korean Marketing Association, Professor Kim was honored with Academic Contribution Award in recognition of his contributions to connect academia, industry, and society in one. The Korean Marketing Association is the most prestigious academic association in its field where professors of Marketing and nearly 1,000 researchers across the nation are registered as members.

In addition, Professor Kim published 11 books, 2 translated books, and 55 research papers in the renowned journals in Korea and the world. He has made remarkable achievements academically and produced outstanding performance in marketing research. Professor Kim was involved in a variety of channels to help public easily understand marketing and business by △hosting a radio program “KBS1 3-minute Radio MBA” for self-employed (2012) and △publishing “Marketing Keywords 101 (2013)” and “Business Keywords 101 (2016).”
 
Professor Kim is currently △president of the Korean Marketing Association, △program director of KUBS Advanced Management Program (AMP), and △member of Seoul Gangnam Tourism Promotion Advisory Board. At Korea University, he served as △Vice President for Development and External Affairs and △Associate Dean for MBA Programs.
