Fall 2016 Graduate School New Student Orientation Was Held

New Graduate Students Enrolled
On August 22 at 3:00 PM, the Fall 2016 Graduate School of Business Administration · International Business New Student Orientation was held at LG-POSCO Building. At the event, area chairs of the Graduate School and 20 new students were present. KUBS provided overall information on school life such as curriculum, course registration, academic requirements, scholarships, and career development programs. “I hope this orientation session has helped students plan their academic goals,” KUBS General Manager Yoon Yi Choi said. “Feel free to contact or stop by our KUBS Graduate School Office if any questions arise regarding school life.”
The programs organized by KUBS International Office were introduced as well. “The newly built KUBS International Lounge will be open in September on the third floor of the KUBS Main Building,” Jinhwa Woo, who is a staff member in KUBS International Office, said. “Take advantage of these opportunities, such as Student Exchange Program, and make the most out of your college experience.” Afterward, the orientation session for each area were held. The new graduate students met with professors of their area and had a Q&A session.
“The orientation session was informative as it enables us to know the upcoming academic schedule and to set up academic plans before the semester begins,” Moon Young Park (MS student in Management) who matriculated in the Graduate School for the Fall 2016 said. “I had a chance to ask various questions regarding the graduate school to the professors of my area.”
The Department of Business Administration offers master’s, doctoral, and integrated MS/PhD programs in △Management, △Marketing, △MIS, △LSOM, △Finance, and △Accounting) whereas the Department of International Business runs the following programs: Master’s programs in △International Trade Theory and △International Business Theory; doctoral programs in △International Business Management, △International Marketing, △International Finance/Banking, and △Trade/Commerce.
