KUBS Ranked No. 1 in Korea among SSRN Top 1,000 Business Schools

6,908 downloads within the past year and 70,150 downloads all-time…Highest number in Korea

As of September 1, Korea University Business School ranked No. 77 in the world, which is highest ranking in Korea, among SSRN top 1,000 business schools. SSRN (Social Science Research Network) is a worldwide repository of scholarly research in the social sciences and humanities.
KUBS ranked substantially higher than Seoul National University Business School (No. 96), KAIST College of Business (No. 194), and Yonsei University School of Business (No. 261). The SSRN rankings predict the scholarly influence of an institute. The results are based on the statistics of authors and their affiliations and contribution to the paper.
According to the rankings, the papers affiliated with KUBS in the SSRN have been downloaded 6,908 times over the past year and 70,150 times overall. KUBS has three times greater downloads than KAIST (2,295 and 20,056 times). At the same time, Seoul National University, which is the second highest in Korea, has records of 3,852 (last year) and 54,579 (all-time) downloads.
In the meantime, KUBS published a total of 16 papers last year and set a new record in Korea. Not only that, KUBS publications have been cited 869 times, known as the second highest number after Seoul National University (1,733 times).
“Such achievement not only showed that KUBS has been leading business research over the past ten years and but also reaffirmed its position as a pioneering role,” Associate Dean Seung Won Yoo said. “We will endeavor to provide faculty with the necessary support to ensure that they achieve fruitful research results.”
Meanwhile, the University of Navarra (Spain) ranked No. 1 among SSRN Top 1,000 Business Schools. The university placed top with 146,651 downloads within the past year and 1,113,344 downloads all-time. SSRN offers download services in 24 areas, such as business, economics, law, and political sciences.
