KUBS MBA Networking Day Successfully Completed
On May 27 (Fri) at 7:00 PM, the 2016 KUBS MBA Networking Day, hosted by Career Hub, was held in Ahn Young Ill Hall of the LG-POSCO Building. The purpose of this inaugural event is to bring current students and alumni of the five MBA programs together and share information. Dean Dong-One Kim and around 120 persons graced the event with their presence.
“KUBS always listens to MBA students and strives to find ways to help them,” Dean Dong-One Kim said in his welcoming remarks. “This inaugural event is even more meaningful because it was organized to meet the demands of the students.”
“KUBS MBA plans to compete globally with its ultimate goal “Global Top 30, Asia No. 1 in 2030,” Dean Kim continued. “In order to strengthen the competitiveness of the MBA programs, our current students and alumni who have branched out into various fields are incredibly important."

The event was organized as part of the career development program for MBA students and alumni. It allows to interact and share information with students. “Through this event, full-time MBA students are able to prepare for job search before they graduate and also identify recent trends of job opportunities,” Career Hub Manager Sung Eun Lim said. “KMBA students have a chance to obtain important information by interacting with experts and incumbents engaging in an industrial field.”
“We hope that EMBA students, as a career mentor, can provide advice on long-term career development to students in other MBA programs,” Lim continued.
“I have a great interest in Chinese business, and through this networking event, I had an opportunity to speak with the AMBA students and was able to obtain useful information,” Ji-young Lee (KMBA, ’16), one of the participants, said. “I hope these kinds of events will be organized more in the future so that I can reach out to many other students.”
Meanwhile, Korea University Business School plans to hold the “KUBS MBA Networking Day” event regularly to bring MBA students into harmony.
