KUBIZ wins 62th Korea University Intramural Baseball Championship
KUBIZ, KUBS Baseball Team (Advisor Yong Keun Yoo), won “The 62th Korea University Baseball Championship” held from March 21 to May 30. A total of 20 teams, including baseball teams from various departments at Korea University, university staff, employees at Korea University Anam Hospital, participated in the championship. The league consists of two parts: first round (7 teams) and second round (13 teams).
KUBIZ crowned the overall champion for two consecutive years by taking over first place in both first and second rounds. KUBIZ has extended its winning streak to 21 games in the intramural matches since 2014 and proved its dominance over other amateur teams at KU. KUBIZ, KUBS baseball club was formed in 2014 and has been participating in tournaments on behalf of KUBS.
“I am very pleased that our team became the league champion for the second consecutive year, especially the fact we took first place in both rounds. Moreover, I am grateful for making another unforgettable memory with the players and managers seeking the same goal. I also want to thank our advisor, Professor Yong Keun Yoo and OB graduates who have been supporting us on and off the field. We will continue to strive to be the best club,” KUBIZ Manager Jae Hoon Jeong (Business Administration, ’11) said.
