Once again confirmed the global reputation of KUBS

First business school in Korea to be ranked in Top 20 - 11 steps higher than 2011

Korea University Business School Executive MBA Program was ranked 12th in Global EMBA Ranking presented by Financial Times (FT). After being ranked as the 23rd in 2011, KUBS EMBA has jumped 11 steps higher to the 12th.

FT selects 100 universities worldwide, and ranks them once a year based on the faculty publication, globalization index, a survey for graduates regarding salary increase and career progress, etc. The survey is regularly conducted on graduates in June and on the university in July. After the survey is complete, the final ranking is announced in October.

KUBS EMBA has obtained high scores in terms of salary increase, career progress, work experience, faculty with doctorates, and so on.

This achievement confirms global reputation of KUBS that is vied with the world's top business schools, such as Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (ranked 8th) and the University of Chicago Booth School of Business (ranked 10th). Furthermore, KUBS ranks higher than top business schools, such as London Business School (ranked 15th), National University of Singapore (ranked 26th), New York University (ranked 30th), Columbia Business School (ranked 32th) and Cornell University (ranked 35th). KUBS and Yonsei University School of Business are the only business schools in Korea to be ranked, while Yonsei University School of Business has ranked 70th in this year.

Professor Jin Kyu Lee, Dean of KUBS, said "this result is a good opportunity to confirm the global reputation of KUBS in the world" and also mentioned that “KUBS will not stop its effort to sustain and improve this achievement as the top global business school.”

Established as the first Korean Executive MBA program in 2003, KUBS EMBA is the weekend program that provides a concentrated high-quality education for those who are currently the CEOs and aim to be CEOs in the near future. The students receive a formal Master's degree after graduation and the program is highly evaluated with its intensive curriculum, high standards and outstanding graduates.

In addition, in April 2012, KUBS ranked 86th (1st in Korea) in the 'UTD (University of Texas at Dallas) Top 100 Business School Research Rankings,' which is based on research accomplishments, proving its global excellence in research capacity.
