  • More than 60 business schools from the Asia-Pacific region to participate … An opportunity to discuss the business education in the Asian Era

Korea University Business School (KUBS) (Dean = Doo-Hee Lee) will be hosting the Asia-Pacific Business

School Deans Summit from September 25th (Wed.) to the 27th (Fri.). This event will be held in the Hyundai Motor

Hall, which was recently inaugurated on September 11th (Wed.), and participation by over 60 globally distinguished

business schools have been confirmed currently.

Following the shift from a Western-centered focus to an Asian-centered one, the ‘Asia-Pacific Deans Summit’ will

be an opportunity for deans of the distinguished business schools of the world to discuss the development and

vision of business education in the Asian Era.

It is also expected for the Asia-Pacific business case studies discussed at the Summit to be compiled into an

international journal, Asian Business Case Journal, so that business practitioners and students from around the

world can utilize them as educational material.

KUBS Dean Doo-Hee Lee said. “As a business school leading the Asia-Pacific region, we plan on proposing a

vision and developmental direction for Asian business administration through the ‘Asia-Pacific Deans Summit’”

and “Looking into the future, this event will be a huge stepping stone for KUBS to rise above Asia and become

one of the top 50 international business schools.”

KUBS has simultaneously received accreditations from the two most prestigious international business school

accreditation organizations, AACSB and EQUIS, and have maintained its position firmly. The school has also

been going above and beyond being the best business school in Korea to being a business school on an

international level by achieving such accomplishments as ranking no. 88 on the 2013 UTD (University of Texas

at Dallas) Worldwide Business School Research Rankings, no. 12 on the 2012 Financial Times Worldwide

Executive MBA Rankings, and no. 86 on the 2012 Financial Times Global MBA Rankings. (Article: Hye-Lim Jung)
