KUBS Leads Nation in CPA Exam Pass Rate for 10 Consecutive Years Rate

Korea University (President Dong-One Kim) and its Business School (Dean Eonsoo Kim) celebrated their 10th consecutive year leading the nation in Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam pass rates on Wednesday, September 10. The milestone was marked during the Business School’s general faculty meeting at Ahn Young-Il Hall, LG-POSCO Building.

Attendees included President Dong-One Kim, Seung-Weon Yoo (Director of Strategy and Planning), Yong Keun Yoo (Director of Budget and Planning), Myung-Jin Lee (Director of Academic Affairs), Hyun-Suk Park (Dean of Students), and Heon-Jeong Lee (Director of Research Affairs). They were joined by about 60 faculty members from the Business School who came together to celebrate the achievement.

Since 2016, Korea University has led the nation in CPA exam passers each year, and with more than 170 successful candidates in the 2025 exam, it retained the top spot for the 10th consecutive year. Notably, both the top scorer and the youngest qualifier this year were Korea University students, underscoring the school’s academic strength.

During the event, President Dong-One Kim presented an encouragement fund to the Business School’s CPA preparation group “Jeongjincho (精進礎),” stating, “Achieving No.1 nationwide in CPA final pass rates for 10 consecutive years is clear evidence of Korea University’s educational competitiveness.” He added, “As Korea University celebrates its 120th anniversary, we will enhance financial and educational infrastructure to rank among the world’s top 30 universities by 2030,” and pledged, “We will continue to support the Business School so that it not only remains the best in Korea but also grows to a truly world-class level.”
