In early 2021, the business university derived five strategies, 15 core tasks, and 30 practical tasks, and set "establishment of historicity" including planting of trees and art installation as one of the core tasks. Through these tasks, KUBS has been thinking about ways to fill the qualitative contents and raise dignity differentiating from the existing appearance-oriented growth. As a first step, KUBS established the KUBS Committee of History and Culture on May 18^th, 2021.

The KUBS Committee of History and Culture established the basic direction for the establishment of cultural· artistic character and historicity, promoted pride and sense of belonging to the members of KUBS along with historical consciousness in celebration of 120 years history with events such as art installation, tree planting, publication of 120-year-old history books, and oral history creation by senior professors.

In June last year, KUBS Committee of History and Culture began discussing the 120th anniversary project and held several meetings to implement specific projects, including the selection of artist and the review of proposals for publishing professional historical books. In April, three kinds of trees were planted in front of the Business Main Building management symbolizing Korea University, and in May, artworks were installed in the outdoor plaza in front of the LG-POSCO Building. In addition, oral history videos, professional books, and history picture books of business schools are due to be released.

Eonsoo Kim, chairman of the KUBS Committee of History and Culture, said, "We would like to take another leap forward by cultivating art and historicity," adding, "We ask for a lot of attention and support from all members of the business school for the development of KUBS in the future."
