Korea University Korea MBA (hereinbelow K-MBA) Night of Year-End Event was held on December 2 (Mon) at the Harmony Ballroom of COEX Intercontinental Hotel. The annual event, hosted by the K-MBA Alumni Association, was attended by more than 300 K-MBA alumni, including Korea University President Chung Jin-taek, Alumni Association President Koo Ja-yeol, KUBS Dean Jae Wook, Associate Dean for MBA Weon Sang Yoo and KMBA Academic Director Jeong Jae-ho.
 
This year’s K-MBA event began with a cordial atmosphere, with a toast offer, prize draw, and small clubs (so-called “somoim”) being introduced along with the dinner. In the second part, introduction of guests was followed by welcoming speech by Jeon Yi-hyun, president of MBA Alumni Association. "Korea University MBA is indeed the best MBA program in Korea that plays a pivotal role in producing professional managers," Chairman Jeon said in a welcoming speech. "It is very encouraging and touching to be with many of our alumni from the first graduates to the 100th juniors today."

It was also followed by a congratulatory speech by Chung Jin-Taek, president of Korea University. "Korea University MBA produces excellent management leaders globally," said President Chung. "We hope K-MBA will grow and prosper and we will do our best to make Korea University proud of you."
 
There was then a congratulatory speech from Koo Ja-yeol, president of the Alumni Association. "The global leadership and management skills we have learned here will help us to achieve even better results in times of crisis," president Koo said. "I ask you to use your capabilities and potential to further enhance the honor of Korea University," he concluded.
 

After the congratulatory speech, award ceremony was held for the 'Korea University MBA Management Award', 'The Proud MBA Alumni Award', and 'MBA Frontier Award' ceremony. Shim Sang-don(75th generation), CEO of Starkey Group received the honor of winning the 'Korea Univetsity MBA Management Award', while 'The Proud MBA Alumni Award' was awarded to Lee Young-mok(72th generation), vice chairman of Media One/Mdecal, and Shin Jeong-eun(90th generation), professor of medical school at Konkuk University, and ‘MBA Frontier Award’ winners included Oh Young-ran (53th generation), director of Booyoung Group, (67 years), Ha Myung-hyun(67th generation), CEO of EZTECHRON, Han Chang-Ho(68th generation), CEO of SAC&NS Aviation Korea.
 
The second part of the event ended with a scholarship ceremony of 20 million won.
 
In the third part, celebratory events such as tenor Chung Eui-geun, soprano Song Hye-young, and Mamma Mia Band performances followed, and the event successfully ended with the closing speech from Jeon Yi-hyun, president of MBA Alumni Association.
