The 89th Advanced Management Program (AMP) Entrance Ceremony
Korea University Business School held the 89th entrance ceremony for the Advanced Management Program (AMP) on Monday, May 4th, 7 pm at the Global Conference Hall, Korea University Centennial Memorial Samsung Hall. Dean Jae-Wook Kim, Associate Dean for MBA programs Weon-Sang Yoo, President of AMP Alumni Association Moon-Chan Kim, and Academic Director Bo-Kyung Bae attended the ceremony along with forty admitted students. The ceremony had been postponed from March due to COVID-19 and carried out with wearing a mask and sitting apart from each other to keep social distancing.
Dean Jae-Wook Kim welcomed the students by saying “Amid tough situations inside and outside the country, I understand you must be having hard time a lot as managers; nevertheless, thank you for trusting and choosing KUBS.” And added “I hope you learn much during your time here.”
Next, President of AMP Alumni Association Moon-Chan Kim gave a congratulatory message. He was beginning to talk, “I’m glad that we finally can get to hold this ceremony since postponed on March.”, and also said, “The abilities to perceive the future, make right decisions, and take strong actions in unpredictable situations like COVID-19 are important virtues as a manager. I hope you will learn cutting-edge managerial knowledge and cultivate these abilities through the AMP program.”
Afterwards, AMP Alumni Association Secretary General Hyung-Shik Jeon introduced the Alumni Association and event plans for 2020, and the ceremony ended with singing the school song.
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 1975 which is first in Korea, Korea University’s AMP program has built its strong alumni network that consists of experts form diverse fields.
