Advanced Management Program (AMP) 86th Generation Course Completion Ceremony
Korea University Business School Advanced Management Program (hereinbelow AMP) 86th generation course completion ceremony was held on August 12 (Mon) in LG-POSCO Building SUPEX HALL. In this ceremony, KUBS President Jae Wook Kim, KUBS Vice President Weon Sang Yoo, President of AMP Alumni Association Moon-Chan Kim, KUBS Academic Director Bo Kyung Bae, honored guests and about 70 students who completed the course attended.
For the first step, President Jae Wook Kim read congratulatory message. President Jae Wook Kim said, “It’s hard to believe that all of you are graduating this fast. I hope you've learned a lot about how your knowledge as a leader can be combined with and applied to the knowledge you've learned in school. I hope you continue your close network with your friends around you, and I ask for your continued attention towards KUBS."
As next step President of AMP Alumni Association Moon-Chan Kim congratulated AMP graduates. He said, “Although it might have been tough to work in daytime and study on nighttime, I am very sure that you have learned a lot. I hope our graduates to maintain their love towards our school motto: Liberty, Justice, Truth, and support Alumni Association as well.”
Academic Director Bo Kyung Bae’s gratification speech followed. She said, “AMP 87th Generation has a very special meaning to me because this was my first semester in KUBS. Now it is over, but it is also another start. I hope you can improve your knowledge through active networks and communication.”
Choong Sub Lim, President of AMP 87th Generation, gave his speech in reply. He said, “We, the 87th generation, became a family by going through the AMP course. We will thrive to become good role models for the next generation through alumni activities.”
KUBS President Jae Wook Kim handed out the graduation certificate to the student representative, which was followed by awarding ceremony to graduates. Choong Sub Lim, who participated most actively in Alumni Association was awarded President award, and other ten alumni received achievement award, while other five alumni received an exemplary award.
Meanwhile, students who actively and sincerely participated in the program were awarded summa cum laude and cum laude. As for the special prize, class #3 won the "Best Class Award," which is awarded to the class that has formed a more cohesive human network through high participation and active social networking.
President of AMP Alumni Association, Moon-Chan Kim, presented the plaque of merit to the Choong Sub Lim, president of AMP 87th generation, and Young Hyun Yeo, the secretary-general, which was followed by a ceremony to deliver admission fees and the alumni association flag. After the 87th generation Association delivered a scholarship of 10 million won to the school, the whole ceremony ended with all of the students throwing their bachelor's caps into the sky.
Korea University AMP has produced 4,718 graduates until now for past 44 years, and after the graduation, many alumni actively participate in school works, enhancing the AMP reputation.
