Professor Jun-ku Kang donates 10 million won to Business School

Professor Jun-ku Kang, Canon Professorship in Finance/Distinguished Professor of Finance in Nanyang Technological University and Korea University Joint Appointment Professor, has generously donated 10 million won to KUBS on December 14^th(Tue). Earlier this year, professor Jun-ku Kang was awarded the ‘Sangnam Business Scholar Award’ from The Korean Academic Society of Business Administration which is given to business scholars who have contributed greatly to the Korea’s development of business, and has donated the whole prize money for Korea Business University.

Johngseok Bae, dean of KUBS, expressed gratitude, saying “KUBS has been improving thoroughly, but now stands at the moment where we have to take a big leap. In times where fundraising is difficult because of the spread of COVID-19, we are very grateful for the big contribution.” Professor Jun-ku Kang explained his motive for donation saying, “I strongly agree that change is needed for the future growth of Korea University, and I wanted to be part of such good intentions. I will continue to take interest in the progress of KU and root for it.”
