1. We would like to inform you of tuition payment information for the 2023 Spring Semester.

 

2. Korea University has introduced a card payment method to expand the choice of student tuition payment methods and enhance convenience from the 2022 Fall Semester. Enrolled undergraduate and graduate students (except freshmen, readmitted students, transfer students, students paying in installments, students registered for extra semesters, completed-research students) can make an online payment on regular semester tuition fees via credit card (Samsung, Hana). (Except for Summer/Winter Sessions, credit recognition system in military, short-term tuition, dormitory expenses)

 Registration status will not be informed via phone call, so please check in KUPID according to the following process.

  Students planning on leave of absence do not pay tuition.

| Registration

Students: 2023. 2. 20 (Mon) 9:00~ 2. 27 (Mon) 16:00

Students Doing Extra Semesters: 2023.3. 15 (Wed) 9:00~ 3. 17 (Fri) 16:00

Final Registration Period: 2023.3. 15 (Wed) 9:00~ 3. 17 (Fri) 16:00

  •  Students planning on leave of absence from 2023-Spring do not pay tuition
  •  Students doing extra semesters pay on the registration period for students doing extra semesters, students with payment in installments pay on each registration period (first~fourth)

 

 

| Print Tuition Billing

Print Period: 2023. 2. 13 (Mon) 10:00~ 2. 27 (Mon) 16:00 / 2023.3. 15 (Wed) 10:00~ 3.17 (Fri) 16:00

Process: KUPID Login > Tuition/Scholarship > Registration > Print My Tuition Billing

 

1) Students are responsible for confirming other payments and checking/unchecking optional fees then printing the bill

2) Tuition billing can be changed depending on the scholarship, so print in the registration period and pay

3) Students cannot print tuition billing after tuition payment so print and keep billing in advance

 

 

| Payment method

Method (1) Virtual account payment

  1. Transfer the full amount of tuition (including other payments) to an individual ‘KEB HanaBank virtual account’ designated on the tuition bill through any nationwide bank, ATM, Internet banking, or phone banking.
  2. Divided transfers are unavailable so students must check their transfer limits in advance (Students must check in advance since ATM/Internet banking transfer limits are different for each person)
  3.  The depositor does not have to be the student him/herself and the receiver is marked as 고려대 (student’s name).
  4.  Transfer through other banks besides HanaBank may incur transfer fees.
  5.  Virtual account is given to each student and can be only used for tuition deposits.
  6.  Payment error cases: omission of mandatory payments, divided transfers, inaccurate transfer amounts, and inaccurate account numbers

Method (2) Samsung Credit Card

  1.  Payment can be made through Samsung Card Website (web/app) and call center (1688-9702) (Payment time 09:00-16:00)
  2.  Credit card payment is not available for freshmen, transfer students, students doing extra semesters, students that use installment payments
  3.  Payment cannot be made in cash, therefore, tuition fees (including other payments) must be transferred in full.
  4.  Tuition payment amount is excluded from card usage amount when deducting tax settlement
  5.  All personal credit card holders (students themselves, parents, and other person’s cards) can make the payment
  6. Cancellation is only available on the day until 16:00 of card payment (at the Samsung Card website or call center)

 Method (3) KEB Hana Credit Card

  1.  Payment can be made through KEB Hana Bank’s website (web) (Payment time: 24 hours within registration time)
  2.  Credit card payment is not available for freshmen, transfer students, students doing extra semesters, students that use installment payments
  3.  Payment cannot be made in cash, therefore, tuition fees (including other payments) must be transferred in full.
  4.  Tuition payment amount is excluded from card usage amount when deducting tax settlement
  5.  All personal credit card holders (students themselves, parents, and other person’s cards) can make the payment
  6.  Card payments cannot be canceled

| Payment Confirmation (Receipt)

  1. Tuition payment status and payment certificate (receipt) printout available from 10 minutes after the payment
  2. KU Internet Certificate System (https://kucert.korea.ac.kr) or KUPID > Information/Life> Internet Certificate System> (NEW) Certificate Request and print [Tuition Payment Certificate]
  3. If you pay by Samsung Card payment status and certificate (receipt) can be checked after 13:00 the next day.

 

 

| Notes

1 You cannot cancel your payment after registration 

2 Your registration payment cannot be carried over. (since the 2015 Spring Semester)

3 You must choose one method below even if you have to pay “0 Won” with full-scholarship

       1) Transfer other payments through a virtual account

       2) Transfer 0 Won in HanaBank College Tuition Menu

       3) Visit HanaBank and request “0 Won Registration”
