Associate Dean Kwon stated, “After COVID-19, the opportunity to connect the school with the alumni has decreased,” adding, “I believe that family ties will become stronger if children visit their parents’ alma mater and share the values and philosophy of the school.” He then said, “I hope that this event will allow you to have pride as a KUBS alumni and family.” After the welcoming speech, the alumni and their families enjoyed a fun time with quizzes and prizes.
In a subsequent introduction of KUBS, KUBE’s 18th ambassador, Mr. Yoon Jang, mentioned that “KUBS, with 83 professors, is not only leads in numbers, but also holds a world-class reputation for its research recognitions.” He then highlited the availability of 45 scholarships covering living expenses, tuition, and even a global exchange student scholarship to assist with airfare and accommodation costs. Additionally, Mr. Jang introduced various business-related academic colloquiums, debates, and competitions conducted by the Startup Institute and Center for Digital Transformation and Business (CDTB).
In the afternoon, the KUBE ambassadors led a campus tour for the alumni’s families, showcasing various key locations within KUBS’s campus. The tour covered KUBS’s 3 buildings, starting from the LG-POSCO Hall, where the event was held, and continued to the KUBS Main Building, Hyundai Motor Hall, Central Plaza, Centennial Memorial Samsung Hall, SK Future Hall, and other notable spots throughout the campus.
The family of alumni Sung Yeon Hwang (class of ‘96) said, “A lot of students led campus tours on such a hot day,” and thanked them for a wonderful event. Alumni Mr. Young Woo Jin (class of ‘96) mentioned, “I think the university has improved considerably compared to when I was a student, and it has become one of the best schools in the world. I hope my son would be admitted to KUBS as well in the future.”
