"Enjoy this occasion freely!"... 2022 Fall CHOO CHOO Day, the final blossom of Student Start-ups, ends in great success
The 2022 Fall CHOO CHOO DAY, hosted by Korea University Business School (Dean = Sangyong Kim) and organized by KUBS Startup Station (Director = Hojung Shin) and Korea University LINC 3.0 Project Group (Director = Kwanyoung Lee), was held on November 11th (Fri) at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Conference Hall.
"Choo Choo Day" is a Demo Day in which young entrepreneurs fostered through KUBS Startup Station's startup incubation program disclose their visions and services to the market. This event means that the residents of Startup Station will take a strong leap forward by borrowing the term "Choo Choo," the sound of a train starting, and is held twice a year in spring and autumn. In the 12th Fall Choo Choo Day, 6 teams △ Haechuri △ Novella Studio △ Pharmakon Health △ Ourtube △ Gardner’s Club △ Dongjoo participated.
The event began with the opening speech of Dongseop Lee, Director of Seung Myung-ho Entrepreneurship Education of KUBS Startup Station, and the welcoming speech of Sangyong Kim, Dean of KUBS. Director Dongseop Lee said, "I would like to thank everyone for helping to host this event," adding, "Please support the six startups that have started taking a leap forward." Dean Sangyong Kim said, "We ask for attention from talented people who will strive for the common good of our society and provide new solutions. Korea University will continue to open a window of opportunity for young entrepreneurs."
Prior to the presentation, the open microphone of Judge Inyeop Park from Fast Ventures, who is a graduate of the 4th class of Startup Station Iljin Startup Support Center, was held. Judge Inyeop Park said, "Starting a business is a process of repeatedly worrying with people who believe in you in the open sea without an answer," adding, "I know that you all put in a lot of hard work and effort." He then delivered a message of encouragement, saying, "I hope the representatives of each team will enjoy this occasion called 'Demo Day' freely." In addition to the Inyeop Park, the panel included Professor Jaeho Jung of Startup Station, Professor Jinkyu Park, Heeyoon Lee, Managing Director of SparkLab, Jinyoung Park, Senior Manager of Murex Partners, and Seunghyun Kim, General Manager of Shinhan Venture Investment. The event was held with five-minute presentations and ten-minute Q&A sessions for each team.
The first presentation was made by Dogeun Kwon, CEO of the data-based agricultural product analysis and distribution startup < Haechuri >. < Haechuri > is a service that collects and analyzes data on agricultural products to predict prices, manage risks, and connect demand and supply sources. CEO Dogeun Kwon said, "Despite the large scale of Korea's agricultural market, we are still sticking to the traditional distribution method," adding, "We will bring innovation to the agricultural product distribution market."
The second presentation was made by Joonhyuk Bang, CEO of
Joobin Park, CEO of " Pharmakon Health," which provides a non-face-to-face Counseling follow-up solution, called ‘Prooof’, continued the presentation. Through "Prooof," counseling experts can find and manage more clients steadily, and clients can keep the sessions and advice they have shared while conducting video couseling. CEO Joobin Park said, "We are focusing on the 'aftercare' service after counseling with the agenda of recovering our daily lives," adding, "We will expand into a psychological counseling platform in the future."
The fourth presentation was given by Joonyoung Choi, CEO of the creator fractional share platform

After the presentation of six teams, the closing address of Startup Station Director Hojung Shin continued. Director Hojung Shin said, "Choo Choo Day is a very important event for student start-ups," adding, "We will continue to work hard to overcome prejudice against startups." He thanked the participants and added, "I hope to see you again on more ingenious topics next time." The event ended with a commemorative photo shoot.
Meanwhile, the 2022 Fall CHOO CHOO Day event was held as a part of “COMEUP 2022,” the global startup festival.
