KU Professor Woochan Kim received the Grand Award for the academic section at the 1^st Korean Corporate Governance Award Ceremony

Korea University (Dean= Jintaek Chung) Professor Woochan Kim (Business School) received the grand award for the academic section at the 1^st Korean Corporate Governance Award ceremony on November 21^st, 2022. 

Marking its first award this year, Korean Corporate Governance Grand Award is given to individuals or groups that contributed significantly to capital market development and corporate governance improvement, by Korean Corporate Governance Award Ceremony (KCGF) and KCGI(Korea Corporate Governance Improvement Fund). A total of 10 people would be awarded: 1 Grand Award, and 1 Innovator Award each from 5 sections including Politics·Legislation, Media, Academics, Corporate, and Capital Market.

Professor Woochan Kim showed positive verification of the economic effects of corporate governance innovation, using data from Korean corporates over the past 20 years. He received the grand award for his contribution to proving the appropriateness of innovation in an academic way.
