2019 E-MBA Year-end Party: Another Great Year with KUBS

On December 16th, KUBS Executive MBA (E-MBA) held its year-end party in Four Seasons Hotel Seoul Grand Ballroom at 6:30 pm. For this year’s closing event, as always, important group of people shed light on the KUBS’s night; President of E-MBA Alumni Hee Ok Kang, KUBS Dean Jaewook Kim, KUBS Associate Dean Weonsang Yoo, President of Korea University Alumni Jayeol Koo and other 250 VIPs were present.
 
Specially directed for this year, there was an event named “Recollection Tour”. In front of the Ballroom, party attendants could enjoy the 2,000 pieces of exhibited images which have been taken during the 2019 E-MBA programs such as Academic Forum, Golf Tournament and Alumni Reunions.

At the opening, President Hee Ok Kang addressed a congratulatory remark expressing his deep attachment in the class of 16th and 17th E-MBA graduates: “I have a concrete belief that all the E-MBA graduates will make success on their own goals and wishes, since they are always doing well on their jobs but also showing up amazing achievements every year. Please enjoy tonight’s event, and charge your positive energy as much as you can”.

Next, Jayeol Koo, President of Korea University Alumni added a speech mentioning the fact that KUBS E-MBA being ranked as 27th in 2019 FT ranking. “I would like to attribute this good news to the great faculty members and E-MBA participants who have continuously contributing to the KUBS’s brand value”, said the president.

The last message was given from the Dean Jaewook Kim. “First, I appreciate Hee Ok Kang for leading the E-MBA group, and second, let me give a big hand to the E-MBA graduates who finished the program with wonderful results. I hope this event to be very interactive, in order to help promoting friendship between each of you. We KUBS will keep working hard on the future developments in E-MBA program management.

Following the opening speeches, appreciation plaques were awarded to President Kang and Byung Joo Lee, the KUBS EMBA manager. After that, President Kang made a 5-million won donation to KUBS, and the amount was part of the financial sponsorship given by the E-MBA participants. The first session was ended with the President Kang introducing the new E-MBA management group for 2020.

The second session was presented with the series of stage performance under the title of “Encountering Classic and Modern”. Hyui-jin Chun, a pera-pop artist and Oh-My-Girl, a Korean Idol dance team performed classic and modern sounds of music, respectively. At last, the party was successfully ended while everyone enjoying a lottery event which provides numerous gift boxes to the lucky ones.
