KUBS, Top-Ranked Business School in ‘2018 University Rankings by Korea JoongAng Daily’

In the ‘2018 University Rankings by Korea JoongAng Daily’, Korea University's business school (Dean Soo Young Kwon) topped the list with the highest score. The combined score of 14 indicators, including professors' research performance, learning environment, and student employment rates, was remarkably high.

KUBS’s diverse support to faculty members’ research performance, the number of publications to international journals has been increasing. In fact, KUBS ranked the second highest in the amount of research funds per teaching staff, and ranked the third highest in the number of international publication per teaching staff which was 1.03 per teaching staff. Moreover, not to mention the alumni’s high employment rate, the rate of maintaining their employment status was also high. The statistics demonstrate employers’ preference towards KUBS alumni.

On the other hand, another area that KUBS puts emphasis on is its startup institute. Established in September 2016, KUBS Startup Institute holds a startup competition every semester to select a new batch of startup teams. Admitted teams are provided their own offices as well as a variety of education sessions held throughout the year. The performance of the teams is outstanding as well. One of the third batch of the startup teams, ‘SOVS’ topped ranked No. 1 in app store paid applications and No. 1 in camera applications.
