Beginning of Semester Party for International Students
KUBS held a ‘Beginning of Semester Party for International Students’ on September 6th at Ahn Young Il Hall, LG-POSCO Building. Organized by the KUBS International Office, the event was designed to support our overseas students’ life on campus, meeting and networking with students from diverse backgrounds. Associate Dean Jae-Nam Lee and Professor Tony Garrett attended the event to welcome 200 international students.
The event started with Professor Tony Garrett’s welcoming speech where he said, “At Korea University Business School, you will be able to experience the School’s structured curriculum. You will also study with outstanding students here at KUBS. Attend social events that we provide, I hope you make the most of campus life.”
Then continuing students shared their stories of life at KUBS. Sang-Dae Oh (Business ‘17) gave a speech where he said “I have Korean citizenship but I was born and raised in Japan. I know what it is like living overseas. And I can say it was not easy at first because of language and cultural difference. But Korean friends of mine helped me settling in here. I am sure you will be able to go through any possible hardship and anxiety because there is always someone out there who is willing to help you.”
The KUBS International Office offers programs including ‘KUBS Buddy’ and ‘KUBS Global’ to support overseas students’ life in general during their study in Korea.
