On July 30 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the 3rd KUBS Teen Mentoring Day was held by Korea University Business School. Sixty-six high school students across the nation who wish to study Business Administration were selected, and 19 KUBS students participated in the event as a volunteer mentor. The Mentoring Day, which is held every vacation, was organized by KUBS for high students aspiring to become the next generation of entrepreneurs.

“As the first and best educational institute in Korea, KUBS launched the Teen Mentoring Day for high school students who wish to study Business Administration,” KUBS Dean Dong-One Kim said. “I want the teens to ponder over the meaning of Business Administration and follow their dreams as a future business leader.” The mentoring day event was completely free to all attendees.
The event consists of various programs, such as △sneak peek of special lecture by KUBS Professor Sung Soo Yoon, △campus tour which helps the teens understand KUBS, and △Business Administration practices (product development strategy and business negotiation with other cultures) with student mentors.
“The principle of Business Administration is to effectively achieve the goal of an organization by helping members of the organization grow and unleash their maximum potential,” Professor Yoon said during his special lecture. He also intelligibly explained the case of Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME)’s window addressing to the high school students.

KUBS will continue to support students set career paths and plan for their academic goals by hosting a Teen Mentoring Day event every vacation for high school students wishing to pursue Business Administration.
“I am highly interested in Accounting among Business Administration areas. Through the special lecture by Professor Yoon, I was able to define the goal of Accounting which is bridging the digital divide,” attendee Taejung Park (11th grade in Dongwon High School) said. “I will dedicate myself to my studies and hopefully can learn about Business Administration at Korea University Business School.”
