Professor Martin Hemmert was appointed as an Honorary Citizen of Seoul. On Wednesday, October 28, the Seoul Metropolitan Government awarded honorary citizenship to 17 foreign residents from 12 countries at Sejong Hall in the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts. Professor Martin Hemmert (Germany), as the author of “Tiger Management,” was recognized for his analysis of the competitiveness of Korean management. 

Besides Professor Hemmert, the recipients include △Helene Lebrun, a former professor of Sogang University, who translated Korean literatures into French, such as “HORS LES MURS” △ Nicolas Berggrue, the author of “The Homeless Billionaire” △Zhou Yu Bo, the head of People's Daily Online Korea. Until 2015, the city of Seoul has granted Honorary Citizens to 740 foreigners from 92 nations, including Jackie Chan, Guus Hiddink, Michael Sandel, the well-known author of the best-selling book “Justice.”
