Number of papers published in the world’s top journals # 1 in Korea and #7 in Asia

According to a recent report by the School of Management of the University of Texas at Dallas, KUBS ranked 1st place in the number of papers being published in the world’s top business journals.
In the UTD Top 100 Business School Research Rankings', the School of Management of the University of Texas at Dallas tracked publications in 24 leading business journals such as Accounting Review and the Journal of Finance from 1990-2006. KUBS published a total of 30 papers and ranked 1st in Korea and 7th in Asia. Followed by Seoul National University with 24 papers ranking 8th in Asia. KAIST, Yonsei University and Sungkyunkwan University ranked 9th, 12th, and 16th in Asia respectively. According to KUBS, actively attracting the very best professors with excellent research and teaching capabilities and providing full support to the various research activities of professors led to the enhancement of research capabilities.
Professor Hicheon Kim, Associate Dean of KUBS, says that a school’s level of research can be measured by the faculty members’ publication of academic papers. The survey results, he adds, are clear evidence that the research capabilities of KUBS are not only the best in Korea but in Asia as well.
