The 2024 Fall Semester Best English Thesis Award Ceremony was held

On February 17th, the Best English Thesis Award Ceremony for the 2024-2 semester was held at the Dean's Office of KUBS (Dean: Eonsoo Kim). The Best English Thesis Award is selected each semester to encourage excellent English papers and to recognize the hard work of graduate students who write outstanding theses. To celebrate the awardees, Dean Eonsoo Kim and Associate Dean for Research Dae Il Nam attended the ceremony. A total of seven graduate students were selected for the 2024 Fall semester's Best English Thesis Award. The recipients and their thesis titles are as follows: 

• Yu Dam (PhD student, Global Business): Essays on Performance Feedback and Corporate Strategies of MNEs 

• Park So-Yeon (Master's student, Management): Narrative Tone and Facial Emotion Management of Risk Disclosure in Crowdfunding 

• Nam Myung-Yeon (Master's student, Marketing): Green Waves in the Market: Linking Environmental Brand Activism to Consumer and Investor Behavior 

• Kim Su-Ji (Master's student, Finance): Time to Innovate 

• Gwak Ah-Young (Master's student, Accounting): Assessing GPT’s Usefulness in Analyzing Tone and Sentiment of the MD&A Section of 10-K Reports; Can GPT Summaries Better Detect Earnings Management? 

• Kim Kyu-Min (Master's student, LSOM): Stockout-Based Spillover Effect in Apparel and The Moderating Role of Fitting Room 

• Shim Ho-Seong (Master's student, IS): Know Your Enemy: Leveraging Principles of Persuasion for Prompt-Learning-Based Data Augmentation in Smishing Detection
