During the ceremony, 34 students from the Global MBA program, 4 from the Global MIM program, 1 from the Executive MBA program, and 6 from the Korea MBA program received their degrees. Dean Sang Yong Kim applauded the graduates for their hard work and dedication, and expressed gratitude to the family, friends, and supporters who had been supportive throughout the journey. Mr. Beom-moo Hur, President of the MBA Alumni Association, praised Korea University Business School as the best in the country and encouraged the graduates to take pride in being part of a leading MBA alumni network and to contribute to making the world a better place.
A special appreciation plaque was presented to Adjunct Professor Taewon Park, Vice President of Hancom Inc., for his significant contributions in mentoring Global MBA and Global MIM students while serving as an adjunct professor.
Awards were also presented to distinguished graduates, including the President's Award and Dean's Award. Ann Nicole Louise Lim Ang from the Global MBA program received the President's Award, while Sara Schaldemose Brandt and Eugenio Bionda, also from the Global MBA program, received the Dean's Award. Degrees were then conferred in the order of the Global MBA, Global MIM, Executive MBA, and Korea MBA programs.
In contrast to the traditionally solemn atmosphere of such ceremonies, this event was filled with joy. All the graduates took the stage to share their thoughts on graduating or perform short dances in celebration of their achievements. The dance performances were met with enthusiastic cheers, making for an enjoyable and memorable experience for all attendees.
Following the ceremony, faculty members, graduates' families, and friends shared their reflections. The graduates then sang the school anthem and concluded the ceremony with a cap-throwing celebration. (VIDEO)
