"CEOs Who Have Continued Both Work and Studies" … Completion Ceremony for the 97th AMP Successfully Concluded

The completion ceremony for the 97th class of the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Korea University Business School (Dean=Sangyong Kim) was held on August 12th at the Supex Hall, LG-POSCO Business Hall. The ceremony was attended by KUBS Dean Sangyong Kim, Associate Dean Janghyuk Lee, AMP Academic Advisor Professor Seokkyun Kim, AMP Alumni Association President Dongseok Lee, faculty members, graduates, and their families, who gathered to celebrate the achievements of the graduates.

The ceremony began with the graduates watching a video summarizing the activities they had undertaken during the past six months. Youngho Han, Senior Vice President of the 97th class, delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates, representing their dedication and hard work despite their busy schedules. In his remarks, he said, "It is an honor to have formed meaningful relationships with all of you," and added, "I will carry forward what I have learned during the AMP program."

Dean Sangyong Kim followed with remarks, emphasizing, "The reason why this program, the nation's first Advanced Management Program with over 50 years of history, still exists is because of all of you." He encouraged the graduates, stating, "I hope you continue to expand your networks with your peers across various fields and become individuals who make a meaningful impact on society as a whole."

Alumni Association President Dongseok Lee remarked, "The 66 graduates who have successfully completed this program have become part of the Korea University family by balancing work and studies with great dedication." He also shared, "I believe the AMP program has provided you with more than just academic knowledge; it has been a time to develop abilities that will be immensely beneficial to your future management activities." Professor Seokkyun Kim, head of the AMP program, also expressed his thoughts, saying, "I understand how difficult it is to balance work and studies," and reflected on the semester, saying, "Though the semester with the 97th class was short, it seemed to pass by very quickly."

The ceremony continued with the presentation of scholarships for AMP students, the awarding of certificates, and the presentation of merit plaques by the Alumni Association. The graduates then stood to sing the KU anthem and concluded the ceremony with the traditional cap toss.
