Professor Sangyong Kim

 

Professor Sangyong Kim published Principles of Marketing ABC: Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Customer Value (Hakjisa, 022.9., ISBN 97889-997-2746-7) with 9 junior professors from KAIST and Korea University.

 

 

Professor Woochan Kim

 

Professor Woochan Kim won the grand prize on the academics field of the 1st Korea Corporation Governance Award. Korea Corporation Governance Forum (KCGF) and KCGI awards once a year to an individual or organization that made a meaningful contribution to capital market development and corporation governance improvement .

 
 Also Professor Woochan Kim awarded ‘KAFA-The Shinhan Bank Best Paper Award’ by Korea America Finance Association, (KAFA) and Shinhan Bank. This award is given to paper published by member of association that has been most citated in last 10 years counted by Google Scholar service. Prof. Kim won this award for “The Effect of Board Structure on Firm Value: A Multiple Identification Strategies Approach using Korean Data” published in Journal of Financial Economics in 2012.

Professor Yujeong Ahn won the ‘2022 Korean Society of Strategic Management Rising Scholar Award’ at the last Korean Society of Strategic Management fall academic conference. Korean Society of Strategic Management is awarding rising scholars awards through strict annual evaluation.

Professor Hansang Lee was appointed as a macroeconomics consultant on National Economic Advisory Council. National Economic Advisory Council is an organization established based on the constitution to provide presidential consulting regarding national economic policy.

 

 

Professor Changwha Jung

Professor Changwha Jung, head of the Korean Society of Strategic Management academic conference committee, hosted the fall academic conference on the theme of ‘Korean major transition on capitalism’ on November 12th. Korean Society of Strategic Management is a society of professors and experts in the fields of strategies and discusses studies and examples on strategies and entrepreneurship of domestic corporations through spring and fall academic conferences. This conference discussed a strategy to improve corporate competitiveness through coexistence in environmental change as a ‘Major transition of capitalism’, which is a major talking point in the ESG period. Large company (Hyundai Motors)-Public enterprise (Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co)- Investing Firm (KB Financial Group) presented and discussed implications of coexistence.
