“Hope to contribute to better life of mankind”… Entrance Ceremony 2nd ESG-AMP Class Held successfull

The entrance ceremony of the 2nd KUBS ESG Advanced Management Program (ESG-AMP) Class was held on September 14th (Wed) at the Ahn Young Il Hall of the LG-POSCO Building. KUBS Dean Johngseok Bae, KUBS Associate Dean Yongkeun Yoo, ESG-AMP Head Professor Seungwoo Kwon, Chief Vice President of the 1st ESG-AMP Minae Kim, and Executive Manager Jongkeun Kim attended the Ceremony, while Professor Bokyun Bae moderated the ceremony.
KUBS Dean Johngseok Bae said “KUBS has played a role in enhancing the value of society, by starting first what our society needs” and “ESG-AMP program has prepared a professional curriculum to keep up with the times when ESG approach is on demand”. Furthermore, he said “You could be a great leader when what you believe, know and practice is consistent.” and gave supporting comments saying, “We hope you improve yourself and share valuable experience and insight through this program”. Chief Vice President Minae Kim, who graduated from the 1st ESG-AMP Class, congratulated students by saying, “Whenever I see lots of news about ESG recently, I am glad that I learned it” and “I hope you take this as an opportunity to learn many things through active participation”.
Next, a beautiful piano melody of Franz Liszt’s Consolation No. 3. was played in the Ahn Young Il Hall. This piece included the meaning that ‘solitude would end” when students share their concern for better business management with their classmates. After the performance, the entrance ceremony ended after singing the school song and taking group photos.
After their campus tour with the KUBS student ambassador group, students took their lectures for the 1st week. He continued his extensive lecture which covered from the background ESG had appeared with its value and to its existential characteristics and level. Also, he emphasized the following four approaches are required in business management: △Transcendence △Internality △Relationship △Historicity. Students also asked actively participated in class by asking questions Dean Bae concluded the lecture by commenting, “The goal of business management is to contribute to better life of mankind together.
After the lecture, students spent their networking time introducing themselves and having meals together. On this day, 22 new students have become new members of Korea University and they strengthened their enthusiasm for study and business management.
