KUBS Placed Top among Korean Universities in Various Rankings Worldwide
KUBS is the only university in Korea listed in the top 100 in Britain’s “THE World University Rankings 2016-2017 by Subject” and America’s “U.S. News & World Report Best Global Universities Rankings.”

Korea University Business School (KUBS) has demonstrated its excellence in research and education through various rankings worldwide.KUBS ranked 76th in the business and economics league table of the “Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject.” The university took first place in Korea by exclusively listing in the top 100.
The ranking was calibrated by 13 performance indicators such as △Citations, △Reputation Survey, △Staff-to-student ratio, and △Doctorate-to-bachelor’s ratio. The Reputation in Research and Teaching categories is the index drawn from the survey results collected from researchers registered in Elsevier which is the owner company of the International Research Database. Therefore, the reputation of the university as well as the credibility are considered as the critical factors for the evaluation.
Meanwhile, △MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) ranked first, followed by △Stanford University (2nd) and △University of Oxford (3rd).
At the same time, KUBS was also recognized as the best business school in Korea according to the “2017 Best Global Universities Rankings,” released by U.S. News & World Report.Korea University Business School placed 97th worldwide and 1st in Korea in the Economics and Business subject area of the "2017 Best Global Universities Rankings." KUBS is the only university in the nation that is named in the top 100. △Seoul National University (122th) and △Yonsei University (159th) came next in the Economics and Business subject area.
The rankings, which was launched in 2014, is a research performance-oriented evaluation focused specifically on school’s academic research and reputation overall. The ranking indicators are as follows: △Total Citations, △International Collaboration, △Global Research Reputation, △Regional Research Reputation, etc. U.S. News releases the results of the top 1,000 out of the 1,262 universities.
In the meantime, △Harvard University took first place while △MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology and △University of Pennsylvania ranked second and third places, respectively.
