"Goldman Sachs is interested in Korean Talents"

World class investment bank Goldman Sachs showed enthusiastic interest in recruiting Korean talents.

 

Goldman Sachs Group President and CEO Lloyd C. Blankfein delivered a lecture to students on the subject of 'Goldman Sachs in the Global Market' on the 18th at Korea University.

 

This special lecture was held at voluntary request of President Lloyd Blankfein (shown in the picture), who has personal acquaintance with Korea University President Euh Yoon Dae.

 

In this lecture, President Blankfein promoted world class investment bank Goldman Sachs and introduced the company culture of Goldman Sachs that valued talents.

Especially, he showed distinctive interest in Asian talent including Korea, saying that Goldman

 

Sachs was paying attention to the rapidly growing Asian market.

President Blankfein said, "The 21st century is the era of Asia," and "the reason I am here is because I have particular interest in the Korean market and talents."

 

Students also showed heated interest in the lecture of a president of a world class investment bank. The main auditorium on the fourth floor of Korea University LG-POSCO Hall was packed with students, and there were even students listening while standing.

 

In response to a student's question of advancing into the Chinese market, President Blankfein said, "Although the rapid growth of the economy that is reaching 9~10% is a risk factor, I think we will pursue business in the long term within the regulations of China."

 

President Lloyd Blankfein is a lawyer and has successively filled the positions of Goldman Sachs partner, executive director, and  president. Now, he works as a committee member of the Management Committee, Risk Committee, Finance Committee, and Diversity Committee as well as president.
