2014 Spring Semester MBA entrance ceremony and orientation

2014 Spring Executive MBA(the EMBA) orientation of Graduate School of Business (President = Doohee Lee) was held from February 14th to 15th at LG-POSCO building. Entrance ceremony and orientation of Korea MBA (the KMBA) was held from 15th to 16th in Gangwon-do Munmak Oak Valley.
First day of the event started with the overall introduction of EMBA and welcome speech of the chairman and a three-minute speech of the freshmen. This event was followed by advice from class of 11’ students to provide a guide to EMBA life.

After dinner, starting with the welcome speech of the President Doohee Lee and Hyunjung Kim(class of 05), performances of Geonpil Na from 'Hidden Singer' and Nanta performance of students were presented. After the performances, freshmen had time to learn the KU cheering and drinking tradition.
EMBA has been ranked 22 in 2013 and 12 in 2012 in 'Global 100 EMBA' in the UK Financial Times.
President Doohee Lee welcomed freshmen with his speech at the Supex hall of LG-POSCO building. He proudly introduced that "KMBA is the Asian Top3, and World Top50 MBA program, provided by KU Business School." And he added that he “hope[s] students will have a great future with the knowledge and human network acquired through this program.”
After the ceremony, Alumni and attending students moved to Oak valley and had time to get to know each other and understand school life. First, the Student Council President Sangdon Shim (KMBA 2001) and Alumni introduced Alumni activities.

KMBA was established in 1963 as the first MBA program in the country. This course aims to train future business leaders with theoretical and practical knowledge. The class of 14 will be attending night classes for 2 years from March.
