FT Global Top 100 EMBA Rankings Announcement
KUBS Global No. 22 … Absolute No.1 in Korea for 3 Consecutive Years
- KUBS Executive MBA Ranks No. 22 Globally and No. 1 in Korea with a Solo Program … No. 1 for 3 Consecutive Years
- KUBS Average Rankings of the Past 3 Years (No. 19) Higher than NUS·Kellogg (No. 21), Columbia Business School (No. 29), University of Michigan (No. 35)
- Improvement of Some US-Asia University Rankings from Joint Executive MBA Programs in China
The UK Financial Times (FT henceforth) announced the ‘2013 Global Top 100 Executive MBA Rankings’ on October 21st (Mon.).
According to the ‘2013 Global Top 100 EMBA Rankings’ the KUBS EMBA ranked no. 22. KUBS confirmed its international competitiveness by ranking higher than distinguished global universities such as Northwestern University: Kellogg (Kellogg henceforth, no. 24), Columbia Business School (no. 30), University of Michigan: Ross (no. 40), and UCLA (no. 42). Among domestic universities, Yonsei University (no. 70) and Seoul School of Integrated Sciences & Technologies (no. 85) were able to enter the top 100 but showed a large gap with KUBS.
In particular, the KUBS EMBA Ranking stands out because it was a program that was able to rank in the top despite being a solo program (as opposed to a joint program). Out of the 16 Chinese EMBA Programs that were able to rank in the top 100, all universities have joint programs with the US, France or other countries, excluding 6 universities such as Renmin University of China, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Chinese University of Hong Kong. KUBS ranked in the 20s with its own solo program while joint EMBA Programs between American universities and Asian universities such as Kellogg-HKUST Business School EMBA (no. 1), UCLA-National University of Singapore EMBA (no. 5), and Washington University: Olin-Fudan University EMBA (no. 6) ranked within the top 10.
Also, KUBS ranked no. 19 overall in the ‘FT 3 Year Average Rankings’ (2011 - no. 23, 2012 - no. 12, 2013 - no. 22), which allows for a more accurate evaluation from the long-term perspective. Thus KUBS is in similar standing as Kellogg-WHU EMBA (no. 18) and ranked higher than National University of Singapore (no. 21), Columbia Business School (no. 29), and University of Michigan: Ross (no. 35), and UCLA (no. 39).
