KUBS has appointed three new faculty members. Including the most recent appointments, there are a total of 103 faculty members, the largest in Korea; which include 87 full-time faculty, 7 adjunct professors, 4 visiting professors, and 5 JA professors. The newly appointed faculty members are Seungmin Chee, Ju Hyun Pyun, and Fang-Chi Lu and they will begin researching and teaching courses in the fall semester of 2013.

Professor Seungmin Chee graduated from Yonsei University School of Business and earned her M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University. She earned her Ph.D. degree from University of California at Berkeley and served as a professor at University of Oregon.

Professor Ju Hyun Pyun earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degree from Korea University, Department of Economics and his doctor’s from University of California at Davis. He previously served as a researcher for the Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP).

Professor Fang-Chi Lu graduated from the National Chengchi University and earned her master’s degree in marketing from National Taiwan University. She then earned her doctor’s degree from the University of Iowa.

KUBS faculty members are scholars from international universities of prestige with high reputation and a substantial amount of teaching experience. One of the best examples of the capabilities of KUBS faculty is the recently announced 2013 UTD Worldwide Business School Research Rankings. By ranking no. 88, Korea University was the only university in Korea to rank within the top 100. A KUBS representative remarked, “KUBS will continue to put forth our best effort to attract outstanding faculty in order to become an international, prestigious university.” (Article: Jungwon Kim)
