CFA Institute Executives from USA introduce strengths and curriculum
The ‘CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) Program Seminar and Welcoming Event’ hosted by the CFA Institute and sponsored by KUBS was held at the SUPEX Hall of LG POSCO Building on the 5th. The successful event was attended by around 250 students and key executives from the US CFA Institute including President and CEO John Rogers, Managing Director of Education Division Tom Robinson.
The strengths and curriculum of CFA were introduced at the seminar. The Managing Director, of Asia-Pacific Operations, Ashvin Vibhakar said “The CFA Institute is striving to move from a US-oriented program toward a global curriculum so that many students from around the world can participate.”
During the following welcoming ceremony, the executives of the US CFA Institute, Professor Jin-Wan Cho of KUBS, and students shared wine and snacks. CFA, an acronym for Chartered Financial Analyst, refers to experts in securities finance and financial management. Many CFA charterholders work as analyst or fund managers in financial institutions around the world. Currently, there are around 650 CFA charterholders in Korea.
