Student ID Card Pre-registration, Application, and Distribution for Freshmen

This is an announcement regarding the pre-registration, application, distribution of student ID cards for feshmen (including newly transferred students) for the fall semester of 2023.

※ Students who fail to apply for a student ID card during the aforementioned period may face restrictions on accessing school facilities such as libraries and buildings, as well as electronic attendance systems.

※ Graduate students who encounter the message “there is no matching information” when trying to apply for a student ID card online should ensure that they are in the “course initialization” status in order to proceed with the application.

A. For students who failed to apply for a student ID card during the pre-application period

Starting September 11 (Mon), 2023, students can visit the ONE-STOP Service Center with their ID and 1 photo (ID or passport photo) to apply. |

B. Upon entrering, it is mandatory for international students to register their alien registration card at the administrative office.
1) International students are unable to apply for a financial student ID card through the aforementioned webpage. After entering the school, they should visit Hana Bank (Korea Univ branch, Hana Square Branch) in person and bring along one photo (ID or passport photo), their alien registration card, and passport to apply for the card.
2) For a non-financial ID card, international students can either apply through the webpage mentioned above or visit the One-stop Service Center in person after entering. When visiting the One-stop Service Center, they should bring their identification documents (alien registration card or passport) along with one photo (ID or passport photo) for the application process.
C. Fees
1) No fees associated with a new application
2) Reissuance
- In case of card errors, such as IC chip or magnetic damage: no fees
- In the event of a lost (stolen) card, damage, or replacement of photo, etc.: a fee of KRW 5,000 will be charged.
