Love for Korea University Continues Overseas: Alumni Couple Hyungyeop Choi (Business '86) and Jiyoung Lim (Business '88) Donate 100 million won in Scholarships
Graduates of Korea University's Business School are making their mark globally. Notably, they are providing scholarships for their juniors while running business abroad. On June 26th, a donation ceremony by KU alumni couple Hyungyeop Choi (Business '86) and Jiyoung Lim (Business '88) was held in Auckland, New Zealand. The ceremony was graced by the presence of KU President Dongwon Kim, adding to its significance. About 20 KU alumni residing in Auckland attended the dinner and ceremony and celebrated together.
The reason Hyungyeop Choi (Business '86) and Jiyoung Lim (Business '88) couple, who run a trading company in New Zealand, donated 100 million won in scholarships to KUBS is for their own experiences. Both received scholarships during their time at the KUBS and even after 35 years, they have not forgotten the support they received. To help their juniors, they generously donated 100 million won. The donation highlights the strong alumni network of KUBS.
Meanwhile, President Dongwon Kim expressed his gratitude to Hyungyeop Choi (Business '86) and Jiyoung Lim (Business '88) couple, saying, "Thank you for your support for the juniors. We will use this valuable donation to nurture talented individuals who will shine at Korea University's Business School."
